Topic: [TUTORIAL]How to forward a port on Windows
I wrote this tutorial, because of the increasing number of support topics about problems with server-registering.
A tutorial on how to manually forwarding a port in your browser can be found here. This way is faster, but it's different for all routers.
You need to forward at least one port to create a working online server for teeworlds.
The probably easiest way to forward a port on Windows is to use the program Simple Port Forwarding, which you can download here.
Install it and then run it.
You should now see this two screens:
Close the right one and start to configure the left one:
Choose your Router
Add the router's Username and password (If you don't know this, ask your parents.)
Add an entry:
Press the '+' - Button
Press 'Add Custom'
Add some informations and the port you want to forward. Important: to create Teeworlds Servers, you have to forward the ports on UDP.
It should now look like this:
Press 'Add'
You have now added one 'rule'. You should see it in the main screen.
Press 'Update Router' to forward the port.
Something like this should appear:
Wait until it is finished.
When no error messages appear, you have now succesfully forwarded a port!
You can test your forwarded port with this software: PFPortCheck Program
