Re: .Demo Vs .Avi / .MP4
You dont get the whole map due to net-clipping except you have a server demo. so of course is the camera centered on the player.

Compiler gives me error messages.
Is it possible to compile it now... or...?
Which os do you use? which errors did you get?
I uploaded a test video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf-djhlvSuY
Rendered in full-hd. It took circa 30 seconds to render
Never mind. I could compile it, howeven, you can see the error messages I got.

Win 7 , 64 bits
Anyway, I've tested it now.
It works like Fraps, but it's much slowly.
I have a 00:04 seconds test, here.
I thought It would make the HUD invisible and get a 100% speed
This tool records all Teeworlds use, like you can see on my file, I can even see f1 console and game menus! (Once it haven't stopped recording on the end of the video)
This project is in a very early alpha stadium. and we are working on the hud stuff at the moment, but as you can see you have a fluid video with 30 frames per second. so you dont have the lags you get with fraps. especially on slow pcs.
The warnings you get are not from the client code itself, they belong to one of the libs we added to support the video codec. At the moment we does not have much time for this project but we'll finish this.
Except when you can't guess where the user wants his camera to be. Words of wannabewisedom.

Congrats.
Why do you keep repeating "where the user wants his camera to be"?? As if the user has a choice other than watching himself. Again I repeat: Client side demos. If you look at youtube videos made from recording the Client side demos you would see that they can only watch themselfs.
You see Dune:
This is a server side demo of which like you said a video can NOT be made.
But THIS is a client side demo from which a video CAN be made.
Understand?
This is a server side demo of which like you said a video can NOT be made.
We can.
For server sided demos or demos where you dont have a controled camera we plan to add camera key frames to do camera movement
Now the hud is invisible
