I've been playing with the pick ups a little and added one shotgun. That one seems pretty cool:

I would also like a lighter tileset, I think this one is too dark and depressing. I can't see myself playing this map for long, even though I like the gameplay, because of this very reason.
I would also prefer jungle or grass tilesets (or even _gasp_ good old winter tileset!).

If chilly decides to make this map official I will design the map with the 0.7's new tileset.
I really do like this map a lot. It still has some flaws, but I think we can create a really great map out of this (there is not much to do in my opinion). I'd love to see this map in the next release.

You are one of the first to complain about the difficulty to gain speed. I need more information, send a demo or describe better.

uh, Imo mid is too fast.
Since there're no real "speed breaker". You can rocketjump easily on almost every wall and gain a lot of speed.
I think that it's just right...
1) I like gaining speed on a ctf map.
2) If you are playing 4v4 or 5v5 on this map, you will get stuck along the way...
I don't like the shotgun on the floor of the middle because when I try to grenade there I pick up the shotgun and then try to grenade launch and I have a shotgun... (I have "Switch weapon on pickup" on...)

A: Added a new platform to hook on or to hide from attackers/defenders.
B: Removed 1 heart, now there are only 4 Hearts.
C: Removed 1 shield and changed the positions.
D: Removed 1 shield on each side.
E: Removed 2 Hearts.
Edit: Removed another "infinity" bug on the right side of the map.

? What do you mean? The middle is more stretched then ctf2 which I like, it's asier to grenade launch that way. The base is also a little different then ctf2...

The entity placements are bizarre in relation to the general movement and flow of the map. I find it artificially favors campers and grenade spammers, lacks good team play, and is not very good looking.

I don't think a map affects team play. It's the team's job to figure out how to maneuver the map without being in the way.

It is great that you take time commenting the map. Unfortunately vague comments like yours are not really useful. I could exactly say the same thing about other maps, but I don't see how it would help the map-makers. It hard to make valuable criticisms on maps, but if you want to try it again I suggest that you take screenshots so that I know what you are talking about.
Ubu, in my opinion your map is great. It feels expansive but not huge, which is perfect for a big game. The movement feels super smooth, the paths and powerups seem very logical. I don't get the feeling the base is too small, as Yem does. At first I just thought the map was okay, but as I played more I started to really like it and appreciate the layout's affect on gameplay more. Every area allows multiple options to evade but still within range of combat, powerups can be obtained smoothly while moving but still with a cost of going out of the way. One thing that I was critical of was the choke points to the middle being a bit small, but now I think it is interesting and not impossible to get around. Lol, I had a team camp with all 5 tees there on me once =.=, but it was more my team's fault .
