non n-client server?

You really don't need any modified client. What did you exactly try? Use the vanilla binaries for hosting CTF/DM/TDM.

You only receive that message wen you are trying to join to Zomb Servers (and on the future, Nodes Servers), that only work with N-Client.
If you are trying to host a Zomb Server, look at this tutorial
If you don't even know what Zomb Mod is, or N-Client, look at this video.

Other thing:
ctf, dm or tdm are not Mods (You have called them "Normal Mods")
If you want to host other Gametype Mods, look on Google by the name of the Mod + Teeworlds and you will find a Forum Page with the Mod, then Host It like is usual to make.

But, back to your problem.
Zomb Mod was Re-created by MAP94, N-Client Creator and it only works with it (N-Client).
So, to play the Zomb Mod, you really need N-Client, and not the normal client, but, you should try Zchaos, the idea is the same as Zomb Mod, but it is much better! And it works on the official Client!
Download zChaos here or play on some server.

You're trying to connect to a server that uses a special modified client. If you want to play on that server, do what it tells you and download their client that they say.

When other people are talking about vanilla client, they mean the standard one you get from https://www.teeworlds.com . You click on the download tab and download the appropriate one.
This vanilla client will connect to all the standard servers (DM, TDM, CTF) and will also connect to almost every mod out there (openFNG, ddRace, infection, alien, chaos, etc)

no i really tried the ctf but it says i need it too but i could join just the ddrace with another client
