Topic: [SOLVED] Mouse wheel not quite working [Linux]

I am running Teeworlds 0.6.1 on Debian testing (Wheezy), Gnome-Shell 3.4. I am using the mouse wheel to change weapons. Until approximately one month ago it was working flawlessly.

At around that time I upgraded the X server. Since then I have been having problems switching weapons. Sometimes it works right away, sometimes I have to turn the wheel several "clicks" until I get the next weapon.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

No problem at all on Ubuntu... But yeah, X-server sometimes really is a pain!

Re: [SOLVED] Mouse wheel not quite working [Linux]

I remember I had issues regarding some mouse and x-server and TW as well which deny me pushing mouse 1 and 2 together (shoot and hook). I could just hook or shoot. After pressing the mousewheel once it solved the problem (guess he changed from fake 3rd mouse button to - got real mousebutton mode afterwards or whatever).

Your problem sounds a bit differen but maybe even try pressing the wheel down once at start (means not turning up or down but pressing).

@Mo2: Thanks, I tried your suggestion, but it didn't really solve my problem. I have tried a couple of mouses so I don't think that's the problem.

@BotoX: Sorry, but when I type those commands in the console, it says that they don't exist. Are they for a different version or am I entering them at the wrong place?

Yeah they are for the trunk version and there this bug exists.
But it was worth a try.

I did a fresh install of Debian today after replacing my harddrive with an SSD and... Voila! The mouse wheel is working again! Still not sure what caused the problem, though.
