Topic: twserver4free.de advertising servers banned

twserver4free.de had 2 passworded servers with an advertising name running.
While that alone isn't that bad (still, don't do it.), they were manipulated to appear at the top of the list by faking 16/16 players (this alone is reason to get banned from the server list in case you don't know).

Those servers have been banned. This means all servers on 85.214.52.200.

Just thought I'd let you know. Just keep in mind: Doing such stuff doesn't make Teeworlds better, it's mostly just annoying to players and is work for the team.

I'm very sorry, I confused the name. It was twserver4free.de, not twserver4you.de.

Nice, but the two servers were host by twserver4free.de and not by twserver4you.de!

1: Eigenen Server für 0 Euro? twserver4free.de

2: Own Server for 0 Euro? twserver4free.de

It dosen´t matter whats the name, it only matter´s what´s the IP so twserver4you or twserver4free is not a difference , and i know that it was twserver4free big_smile

DDos= More then 1 System that attack
Dos=1 System that attack

And they only "dosed" them, whats realy weak cuz if you know how to configure the IP Tables it would´nt harm anything big_smile

As it seems, they have more than one system. Because if you have a look at the server list, there are still many Candys servers. So at least they have 2 systems. So both could be possible.

Yes that's right! They make many DDos&Dos attacks against twserver4you and other servers. You find many evidences for it in other forums.

That´s right big_smile but i know that he only dosed big_smile (Im something like a Insider)

So, in what way is "dosing" better than "ddosing"? Both is an attack on a system you do not own, which in fact is illegal in most countries (as far as I know). What they have done with the false advertising of 16/16 players is almost just as bad in my opinion. Whatever, the server(s) got banned and hopefully this will make them overthink their mindset of how to act in the internet in general. I don't think there is much more to say about this incident.
