The ability to minimize the game would be nice. If there's currently a way to do it, I don't know how. It's a pain having to exit the game to message people on IRC 
Oh, and I'm using 32 bit Gentoo Linux (kernel 2.6.22)
Well, I'm going to improve it, but right now you can use F1 and F2 to grab and release the mouse.
I'm using Kubuntu linux. How can I minimize the game? Maybe some command in console? Or special hotkey?

There are no such special hotkey. Could be added however. Adding a ticket for it for the future.
