Hey Guys
I played Teeworlds a long time with no Problems....then i stopped for a while. Now it just doesn't work anymore...the Servers doesn't appear. I allready tried with a Firewall rule (just got the normal windows firewall nothing special) and i don't want to close the Antivirus-Program.
What can i do?

Does the message appear: No Server found! ?
Since you stoped playing TW for a longer time, do you use the latest 0.6.1 Teeworlds Client?
(if not and if you use standard client)
[#] Make sure you're on the "Internet" tab. Not on "Lan" or "Favorites" tab. (fatal error in most cases 
)
[#] clean the filter option at the "Filter" Tab in the lower right corner.
Looks like you've got issues with your antivirus/firewall. It's understandable you don't want to close it for the time of a test, but you'll still have to try to configure it for Teeworlds. We don't know what your software is, and there are so many we cannot give you a general way to fix this.
I've got the Avast! Antivirus which i think's really good. I cleaned the Filter and i'm on the Internet Task of course^^. Yeah i look for a white list or something for avast!....never had to use it bevor but okay
I deactivated the virus programm and i put the programm on the white list...didn't help....
what else could i do?
try disabling both, antivirus and firewall

Avast is a piece of commercial shit. Im saying it as 7years experience programmer and IT student... Just downoad AVG and be happy. You probably dont know how much avast developer pays for adds, for fake tests in computer magazines. Just read the opinions on the internet. Now you can say that you dont have antivirus, becouse avast virus signatures are OLD, AVG is muuuch faster, reaction is about 2-3 days from the virus appeared on the internet and avast about 10-11. How did I checked it? Made my own worm, it was very simple and probably worthless, but it readed keys you pressed (so your passwords too) and sending fake mail to fakemalifortests@gmail.com (which not exist 
). I uploaded a fake keygen for dead island and after 2 days avg wanted to delete the file while avast said it safe and ok. After 10 days when I wanted to delete the exe becouse of that annoying avg info about detected virus, avast finally said thats something is wrong... Sorry for long post, but plz read it and uninstall avast for your own safety. Thanx for reading.

1. I didnt said that Im better than anyone, personaly I think 7 yrs is not much. Do you think if I said "I made small malware, and waited for the signature base being updated" most players will know what I mean?
2. Yes, Im not so much into antivirus soft, but many times when I helped ppl that had avast, the cause of problem was virus, so I can deafinitely say that It doesnt protect well (to compare I had only several virus-problems when avg installed).
3. No, but avast isnt as good as they say so I think (personally) it does.
4. Have you seen any avg comercial? No? As I thought... I see avast adds everywhere. AVG earns money becouse its good and popular, avast becouse It has adds everywhere.
5. A second, 2 days and 10 days its deafinitely not same.
6. It was just a test... Have better ideas?
7. Im not payed and Im not telling avg is the best ever. Im just saying that it never failed me, and avast for example let 89 troyan horses pass into my friend pc... Avg found them in about 3 mins. Think abut it.
If you like your avast - its ok. But dont cry when it fails (like my friend did).
kittyPL, I don't mind what you're doing with your life on Teeworlds, coding your cities 'n' stuff, everyone enjoyed with that at one point.
Most of us here know who you are, but the forum newcomers who are asking for help here don't and can't know, and that's what really disturbs me. You really should stop telling them crap, especially using such ambiguous arguments to vanish yourself at every post, such as "7years experience programmer and IT student".
Everyone has grown up here doing by hacking (to be understood as tweaking) code and that stuff, but doing weird things on your pc since you're 10 does not make your arguments any more worthy than others.
Oh common guys can you just talk about that in another way...pls help me to find the problem
and @kittypl: I'm an IT too (System Technics but i had a few basics in Programming 
) and i never had a problem with AVAST! It's free, it's safe and my pc's always fast.
@topic: Yes, i use the 0.6 Version....and of course over the Internet^^.
Have you tried to update the masterserver.cfg file? Just delete it and the game will create a new one. Hoping this could help. I don't think it's a matter of firewall or antivirus, though.
Nevermind. Do as you wish. I still think avast is shit.

If you want to find a solution, then at least read the whole posts!
Have you tried to update the masterserver.cfg file? Just delete it and the game will create a new one. Hoping this could help.

mine looks like this and yours should be the same:

Hmm, I don't know a lot of this all, but i had this problem too sometime, i just resetted my internet (8sec) And fixed something with my Port and IP-Address. you should maybe have a look at that.
Hmm.... Maybe You need To A: Allow Teeworlds Through Windows Firewall B: Re-download Teeworlds C: Download 0.5.x or 0.6.x In Case You Have A Teeworlds/Teewars That No Longer Have Supported Master Servers D: Your Internet Goes Down Every Time You Go On Teeworlds (Not Likely) And Comes Back Up Afterwards E: Make Sure You're On The Section "Internet". If You're On LAN Or Favorites, It's not Likely That You Will Find a Server.
@Chrisfield12: I've done everything...and no, im NOT that stupid and switched to lan or favourits...-.-...i redownloaded it several times and no, my internet did'nt stop, while teeworld's running

I found out something else...everytime i start the game, the adress is set on "localhost:8300"...but i don't have an own server...i allready deleted it but it didn't help
