Was rejected, as consideres being waste of bandwidth.
My suggestion:
Make the friends filter less sensitive. Right now, when I add a person to my friends list, (e.g. TesT) and that person even slightly changes its nick or clan, (e.g. Test*) the filter won't find it. I'd rather find 1 different person with a similar name and 1 friend than actually find nothing.
Sensitivity à la quick search would be nice – if I type test in there, it will find the desired person in both examples.

And what if my friend is named oy or ubu? That would make the friend filtering quite unefficient... you're not supposed to change your nick every day to add random characters in it.

Was rejected (#748). Use the quick search if you want to get all players with test in the name.
Edit: Same for TeePhoenix. See pull request above.
Deleted.

That function could be optional. Maybe add some form of a switch next to the names so the client knows how to perform a search on each one of them.

That's right, but people do it.
edit: TeePhoenix was quicker :<
Since we are in friends I would like that if you have a friend you cant add it any more because once I had someone with the clan right and then with the zombie clan tag but was the same person (I was in infection)

The client does not know the pure name without the infection tag, so it can't check if the player's real name is listed. Apart from that the developers don't care about mods.
I had some talk with tPhoenix and got some ideas. They should be consideres as ideas, need to be discussed very well.
1. Setting to don't remove used pickups completely, but leave a smaller/transparent/grayed out version of this pickup.
This way new players could analyse the map and get more easy into the gameplay and design of a map. More skilled player would most likely disable such function.
(The last one was already picked up and waits for respawn)
2. Support domination as vanilla gametype, but with a different behaviour of the domination spots:
Instead of gaining team score, they will provide special abilities / powerups for the owning team.
It should be balanced very well, and I thought rather about things like "respawn with +5 armor" or something similar like this, and not like "whole team get powerup ninja".
Imo it would provide a very unique and fresh gameplay, with enormous possibilities.
I don't get the first idea.
Added a picture, hope you can understand it now

You know one can easily do it on client side, since the client got all the info about where (not when though) the powerups are gonna spawn.

I don't want to know, if it can be put up into a modded client. (And yes, it can and already is)
I'm asking if it would be worth, to implement it into the vanilla client.
Because:

I want to know what you think about it.
--> Would it really be an useful addition?
Could it be an assistance for new players?
Would you consider it as cheat?
etc.
I like both ideas but I'm not sure if the 1. is useful.
I can't imagine that someone goes to spec and watch where the powerups are instead of just playing. Anyway. I don't think that it's a cheat. If it's easy to make(with disable function) it may help beginners and would be ok.
2. It's a great idea. In fact it is vanilla so there shouldn't be a problem.
I don't think that you should be able to get powerups by having spots. It would make the winning team even stronger.
I'd like to see the spots as spawns.
There are several subgametypes you can make out of it:
1. You need to capture all spots and kill the remaining players(others can't spawn without spot from their team).
2. Collect points like it is now.
3. (Insert your idea here)
Well I would like to have a certain kind of game statistic for the serverlist back, which shows the current red/blue flagscore. (Like it was given in older versions in percantage) So people which aren't on a server can see the current scores. That way you can predict, if a game might end soon.
My suggestion is about the "weapon system" in vanilla. Out of my view it nervs when i pick up a weapon like the rocket, laser or the shoutgun and shot it out of ammo and it still stays in the equipment that you alsways have to switch over it...
an empty weapon is useless and i would throw it a way in a figth.
So i hope theres a way to fix this.
Personally Iam waiting for ramps and curves, imo the best improvement on Teeworlds. I do not really like Powerups. They add variety, of course, but theyy also take away a bit equalitiy. Waiting for Powerups and being better and killing other people just because of this difference is the wrong way. Other games obviously go this way, even very succesful, but I was always proud of Teeworlds being so skill dependent and so fair.
I have a few Suggestions too. Some may be posted already (sorry if so) or are unrealistic to get true, but why not post them and show what you think about it?
1. Movable objects. Like boxes or other things which lay on the map, have collisions, but are movable by the Tees. For example if you ran against them, shot at them (grenade), hammer them, hook them. Mabe they can do damage if you get hit by them and speed you up too. This would make the game a bit more tactical and a lot more varied. Also Mods like DDRace will profit from it (e.g. carry the Box through this part and use it to reach the next).
2. Show more information of Tees. Important for Vanilla. I would like to see if a Tee has his doublejump ready, even at my own Tee (how many times did i die on ctf5 because of this). You can make shiny feet or something like that. Also i would like to have a rough clue how many Hitpoints other Tees have left (maybe with the eyes: open = much health | nearly closed = low health). This would make Vanilla less "guessing".
3. Possibility to get free from hook. If someone hooks you can free yourself, maybe if you hook the other Tee yourself, or if you hammer him. So you have at least the chance to escape from most situations (although its hard).

Already implemented: enable cl_airjumpindicator and your tee's feet will be darker after the first jump.
ramps and curves would be great!!! -> runs and ddraces will be reinvented
and when empty weapons would dissapears out of the equipment it would be great too.

Nice one thank you. So what do you think about my "new" ideas?

This is a huge changing of the gameplay that Dev's, I guess, have already thought about. If it will be implemented, you have to wait at least for 0.8. Of course this would add some skills to challenge, and it's not a bad idea at all.
2. Show more information of Tees. I would like to have a rough clue how many Hitpoints other Tees have left (maybe with the eyes: open = much health | nearly closed = low health). This would make Vanilla less "guessing".
I think it doesn't fit to the simplicity of the game. As you said, Vanilla is guessing, but it's something that you have to master. I think that life it's a "secret" that it's very important for e.g. CTF (You say at least to your team you have few hp). If enemies would be able to know it, it would be an advantage for them and I wouldn't like it.
3. Possibility to get free from hook. If someone hooks you can free yourself, maybe if you hook the other Tee yourself, or if you hammer him. So you have at least the chance to escape from most situations (although its hard).
I don't know if it's a good idea, since the hook time for player-hooks-player is rather low. It's good as it is.

[/spoiler] *sigh*
1. This is a very huge change. Also it would add some kind of random to a match, what doesn't fit to the kiss-principle.
I doubt it will be added with any near version, but I'm no dev.
2. Not gonna happen. Things like ammo and health can be used for mind games and are an important part of vanilla.
3. Well, kinda interesting idea to get free from a hook with hammering the hooking tee. Could give the hammer an unique function and task!
1. I don't like it.
2. Don't like it because:

3. I like it!
Should be possible to save edicions on servers by the R-con console (F2)
Just look:
If I start a server and create a vote, when I close the server the vote will be lost and I will need to write it again (Or write it in the .cfg file)
And btw:
In game server creation is at green, when will it be created?
