The only way to solve this problem is having a better internet connection...

Your firewall is very restrictive and blocks teeworlds. That's my guess. Remind me to write a testing tool some time

Well, I think desktop firewalls are indeed good for something.
You haven't covered the outgoing connections that malware has to make to send data. That's for example a point where it can get useful, by prompting the user for permission for this application to connect to the internet. The security suite of the firewall can help to block dll injections, so the malware can't use another process to send the data.
