Now I can agree that the base area is less open than on ctf2, maybe it is a bad idea but you would have to argue:
- either provide some strong arguments that prove that a base like that will inevitably suck
- either provide a demo of a game that shows that it doesn't work
I should have been more specific. The base area, in contrast to the mid of your map, is very small. The base area feels like it should be for something like 3v3 while the mid of your map feels like it should be for 5v5 or 6v6.
I do not have a demo, and my playtime on master_exploder is around 20 minutes (with other people, for 3v3), but just from looking at the flag area I have a feeling a 5v5 or 6v6 would be very uncomfortable. However, I haven't played a 5v5 or 6v6 on your map so I'll have to try and get some people to do that. I'll try and get 10 or 12 people to play a good game on master_exploder, demo it, and see how it works out.
I like both the base area and the mid, but I do not like them together.
