Topic: [map-ctf] desert-frddft

Hello. Its my first map. I using automapper. This CTF/iCTF map. Version 0.2. It very small map. Screenshots:

Simple and clean. I like it! Only some passageways are too narrow. But I guess that's the point of the map (:

A screenshoot of the whole map would be really better, right now, I have to download the map if I wanna see it, and see where bonus are smile.

Hmm, i dont fixed this. Its normal, if passageways not too narrow, then it will be too easy.

Congratulation for your first map! Its nice to see people enjoying this game, as a whole smile

As it is your first map...
- Try to bring more variety of gameplay / movement
- Improve graphics (doodads, background)
- Please upload a screenshot from the editor, so we can give you some hints about pick ups placement.
- thought its difficult for this map, you might leave some sentences about further maps. (how many players, whats special, etc. etc.)

Don't use solid tiles for doodads, and you might add some pick ups, as you mentioned its compatible with ctf too.

That's really nice to see beginners in mapping making their first map with pretty decent graphics thanks to that automapper, we used to see lot of ugly ones.

Firedead: there's obviously lot of points to improve your map, even if this isn't bad for a beginning. There's only one point I want to mention about mapping: you're obviously mapping directly with the editor. To map is not to fill a quad. You need to think to a first prototype of your map on a sheet of paper, and then to reproduce it in the editor, and improve later on.

I now updated map. Version 0.2.
Map renamed from deswon to desert-frddft.
Added more doodas and sun ^^
Removed solid tiles from doodas.

Anyone know how to set custom color in normal None background? Also, i finished make new CTF map %)
