Hi TeeWorlds community.

BEFORE YOU ASK DUMB QUESTIONS READ THE GUIDE!!!

Server CFG File
============

1) Go into your TeeWorlds folder

2) Make a new CFG-File called "teewars.cfg"

3) Read This thread, and make your own CFG.

4) Done.

The Server Starting
============

1) Start off by going into your TeeWorlds Folder

2) Right-click the "teeworlds_srv", and select copy

3) Right-click another place in the folder, and select "Paste Shortcut"

4) Now, right-click the shortcut and find the "Target:"


5) Find the end quotes, and after that, then add: -f teewars.cfg

6) Run the shortcut, and you're done!

Wow! Man, that is so useful! Everybody has been telling me what to type in, but they never told me where to type it in! However, when I open the shortcut, it tells me that I should configure my firewall to allow info to be sent to and from port 8303. What should I do?

Please help! I am very close to finally setting up a server, but nothing is working as of now!

HELP!!!

It tells you how to portforward the 8303 .

K i managed to forward that port.
When i start up my server it says: no firewall/nat problems detected.
                                   Server registerd.
But I cant see the server in the teeworlds list...
Can anyone tell me why?
I use that server config tool.
Can I have a server and play on it at the same time?

i have the same problem as Pepperoni.
When i start a server, i cant find it in the internet, only in LAN. Look :<

Everyone else should see it under Internet regardless. This is a known issue, but I don't think it has been researched so far. Some people only see their servers under LAN, others see them under both LAN and Internet.

It is possible [some] routers are the cause of this, but I'm just going by the fact that my servers display under Internet as well as LAN and I don't use a router.

Wtf-Pepperoni: try to turn off filters and set max ping to 99999999 (it helps sometimes)

Thank you for that but I have found the solution.
But if I go to LAN and fill in behind "Host adress" Localhost:8303
and press connect I can join my own game smile.

how can i set my router to forward port 8303?
i have a Speedtouch780, i cant find anything about forwarding port 8303...

i got my router wrong XD
but i cat seem to get it to forward on my ST780... i found the page, did eveything it said and it didnt work...
EDIT: ok i got it to work but it only show up in the LAN list and the teeworlds_srv says WARNING: the master server isnt responding, switching master server
and then when it has switched it says the same...

If you can't get it working at all, enable DMZ for your own private router IP .

i think i know how 2 fix it but i need all ip adresses of the masterservers..

ah yeah and... very nice thread wink

it depends sometimes you see yourself in LAN but the other see you in the server list.
If no one sees you, you shoud edit the setting
sv_register 0  to
sv_register 1
