Topic: Should we recommend to contact support if nothing helps?

Sometimes Teeworlds problems seem to originate from Windows®, graphics driver, router, firewall, antivirus or other complex thing and if forum members can't help (this and this for example), why not to recommend to contact support of the vendor of OS/router/graphics driver/firewall/antivirus/etc.? I'm sure they have first-class specialists that even may physically come to user's home and will solve his problem in-place.

both problems u mentioned were not directly windows related... the first one is a firewall issue which might be caused by the router, too and if not then its just a question of the right settings wink
the 2nd problem is a driver issue... if its not the graifc driver it might be a problem with the chipset driver.

Sushi tee, your totally wrong about the first topic being something with the router.
It is because VPSLand disabled all UDP ports except 53 so my server is now running on port 53 and is also able to find on the serverlist.
So if you wish to check it out sometime join "S!K Dummy Server"

It's still not a windows related issue.

They disabled it in the switch wich is behaving like a router. So you are totaly wrong, Sushi is right in everything he says, even if it's wrong --> Remember the golden rule: Moderators are always right, even when they're wrong. (Fuu he isn't a moderator xD)

Re: Should we recommend to contact support if nothing helps?

You may have correctly detected the first problem. But what about other tricky unsolved problems? What if it's a bug in OS/router/graphics driver/etc. that no one of us know about? I do not suggest not to try to solve problems - I suggest to advise to contact support - not only for Windows issues, but also for driver/router issues - if we couldn't help. The corporations that have manufactured user's OS/router/graphics driver/etc. know them better than us.
