Topic: Will not let me run 5.2

Herro, I've installed The old Version 5.2 (Due some Mods arent Updated to 6.0 yet)

When i start 5.2, it always changes to 6.0, (It says i'm running 6.0, and that the Serverlist doesen't Contain the Old mods, Servers etc)

I would really need help, i wanna play the Zombie mod, I've setup a server on 5.2, Yet, this doesent work.

My friends can connect perfectly, but i can't due it's an "outdated" Server.

1. did you really download 0.5.2?
2. try deleting your settings (%appdata%)

Yes, i've even tried Deleting 6.0 (From Appdata as well),
it seems like it Auto Updates...

nope an auto update system isnt implemented and not planned to be so.

Did you download v0.5.2 from teeworlds.com or any other platform?
I've tried the dl from tw.com (http://www.teeworlds.com/files/teeworld … -win32.zip) and it was working fine for me.

I've tried your link, but same thing happends, it says i'm running 0.6.0 When starting, and With the New Serverlist.
What's odd is how i still can run servers on 0.5.2 that my friends using 0.5.2 can connect to.

Are you sure that you click onto the right executable?
If you don't mind too much, try deleting all of your Teeworlds folders and files (also the one in %AppData%) and redownload Teeworlds. Completely impossible that it will still show 0.6.0! smile

Impossible. The Laws of Common Sense forbid it!

But really... Are you sure? OK

1. Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\" and delete the folder teeworlds *
2. Go to the folder where your 0.6 tw is,for example: "C:\teeworlds" and delete it. *
3. Go to the folder where your 0.5 tw is,for example: "C:\teeworlds-0.5.2-win32" and delete it
4. Go HERE and download 0.5.2 for you OS.(Windows)
5. Unzip/Unrar and open teeworlds.exe

NOTE: You should save your custom skins,demos,downloaded maps etc...

P.S. You should make a video and post it on youtube. I would like to see that "anomaly" (:

I don't got any recording programs since all of them costs money, + My computer can't take programs couse it's shitty'.

Elite Tee i did all that, but i didn't keep my Custom skins etc, i don't got any, lol tongue

@Everyone
You don't need to keep asking "ARE YOU SURE", couse i have even deleted everything, (I re-installed my computer), and what happends is it wont let me run 0.5.2

In my opinion, the problem is either that you've been downloading the 0.5.2 at the wrong place either you are launching the wrong binaries.
Get your download from HERE, and make sure you are double clicking on the teeworlds.exe from this archive, and not from any shortcut.

Not all recording programs need to be paid:Taksi,Camstudio...

I give up,that's impossible...unless the downloads are messed up. (but works for me too)

... when you download teeworlds you get a .zip, in the .zip you get a folder, the folder is called 0.5.2

Problem Solved, what i did was asking one of my friends to ZIP their File of Teeworlds, and Send it to me through skype (Like a mirror), i can now run 0.5.2
I still don't know why i can't download it from this Site...
