did you try removing files from the skins folder?
What do you mean?
the game is known to bug if you have to many skins in the skin folder
I tried taking out all skins except default, but it still didn't work.
Any help please? This seems like a really good game.
you have to go to teeworlds directory and start game from there. you can also change *.desktop "exec" line to sth like: sh -c "cd /opt/teeworlds; ./teeworlds"
Everywhere I start it it does the same thing. The strange thing is it does work on Windows.
Did it ever worked? Try to remove it: delete your ~/.teewars (or ~/.teeworlds if it's version 0.4.x) directory and the game files (if you installed teeworlds with a deb package then purge it) and then reinstall...
maybe try to get older version?
Looks like either too high gfx settings (FSAA samples maxed out) or bad drivers.
what card and driver version do you have?
i've tried my "fix solution" on intel x3100 and nvidia 6600gt and it works
@peoro - It never worked
@void - I think FSAA is on 0.
@aaoihngvuu - I've tried getting older versions, but it still doesn't work. My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX Integrated GPU. I use the proprietory driver "nvidia".
I had a similar problem on Gentoo Linux. After searching trought the forum I've found that it happened to Gentoo, Ubuntu, Debian users.
So far most of us got it working correctly by changing gfx_texture_quality from 1 to 0.

I'm running on Gentoo without any problems at all.
I'm using Kubuntu Gutsy, and I had the same problem. I decided to try running game from terminal, to see if it spits out any error messages. Surprisingly, after cd'ing to game's folder and typing ./teeworlds, everything worked well. I guess it helped the game to find paths to all the graphics.
Nothing has worked so far. I've tried gfx_texture_quality from 1 to 0 and cd'ing and then running. I'm starting to think it's my graphics card driver, although if I turn off the proprietory driver, it doesn't even run.
Version 0.3 was running under Gutsy with few problems (only the sound didn't work sometimes). And I also started teewars via console.
Same problem
