Hi All,
it is possible to rewrite TeeWorlds for Java?
No.
Why?
I think it's possible, but it's useless and so no one will ever do it.
The Java program that executes the scripts isn't very secure at the moment :S and it isn't really needed! Also I don't think that Java was made to code games!

What make you think that? If it wasn't secure it wouldn't be one of the mostly used programming language by companies.
Also I don't think that Java was made to code games!
You obviously haven't heard about Minecraft.
I don't see the point of porting the game to Java, the advantage, operating system indepence is provided by teeworlds itself and the disadvantage, the slower speed, wouldn't be good for teeworlds as it shouldn't need more cpu power.
PS:

He only said that Java wasn't made to code games.

Just the reason that it is so spread and famous makes it insecure as thousands of people make viruses for it every day.

I have, I even play it, but the language still wasn't made for games!
Ok, to expand my response: Why would you port it to Java? I see no reason in that.

I dont get it... C++ is much more spread then java will ever be... i mean... evan cars are programmed in C/C++ or automatic doors for shopping centers (i actually did that once xD)
If a program is secure or insecure depends only on the programmer programming the program
You obviously haven't heard about Minecraft.
Too bad it runs like crap and is very buggy. Could just be the developer, though.
Well, to come back to the original topic: Of course it is possible to port teeworlds to java. But as it was said before, there is no real benefit of that, and it would be a whole lot of work to do it, so in my eyes it's completely useless.
I don't really see a reason as well

I think it's buggy because it's still beta
But what do you mean runs crappy?
Topic: It's pointless lol
I also think that it's pointless to port tw to Java or Android. TW was meant for PC's and maybe consoles.
Porting to Java and Android would consume more time than the good that would be gained from it. However I support the porting to consoles. (Playstation,Xbox,Wii)

I just played teeworlds with a usb controller yesterday and it worked better than I thought. I support this, too. The only problem is the chat
