Topic: Export a map

Hello,
I've created my map with the editor, but I can't test it because of a firewall (my parents don't want me to change it). So, I've decided to give the file .map at a friend, who has got a teeworld's server to test it. But the problem is that when I search my file, I don't find it...

How can I find it, or export it?

Thanks smile !

Re: Export a map

If you're on Windows Vista or Windows 7, look into your user folder, go to AppData\Roaming\Teeworlds\maps. There you'll find your map.

On linux, go to ~/.teeworlds, I don't know the mac solution.

Re: Export a map

Enter data -> maps, incase it's not there, enter Config_directory then downloaded maps.

Bythe way, make sure you're using .map after the map name.

The funny about this signature is that you
don't realize until now that it's a useless signature
but it's too late to stop reading.

Re: Export a map

Hum, I am on mac os. But it's really near linux. I go to my applications directory, I open the teeworlds directory. After, I open the package "teeworlds" : teeworlds.app/contents/ressources/data/ . In this directory, I find maps/. I go on, but there's just the classicals maps. I've try to show hide files, but there's noting...

Could you help me? Thanks.

EDIT : that's it ! I've found it !

For the noobs, that's how get .map in mac os.

1/ start Terminal (Applications / Terminal)

2/ type that in the Terminal : cd /Users/***the name of your user***/Library/Application\ Support/Teeworlds/maps/

3/ type that in the terminal : cp ***the name of your map*** /Users/***the name of your user***/Desktop/

4: That's it ! The file is in your Desktop ! smile
