Topic: [HELP] Sleep command in .cfg?

Hi all!
I'm writing a .cfg that displays some warning before my server goes down, but I need the script to wait some seconds before calling "shutdown". Is there any command like Linux's "sleep"? Thanks

I don't know, but I think it's useless because the clients are dropped with a message "Server shutdown" at shutdown wink

My clients report a "Connection problems..." message, anyway I'd like to warn them BEFORE the server goes down...

No, with "exec shutdown.cfg", shutdown.cfg is:
broadcast server closing
shutdown

I'd like a "sleep" between the 2 commands

Re: [HELP] Sleep command in .cfg?

There is no sleep command. cfg files are not meant to be scripts but configurations. It is not possible with the standard teeworlds server/client to use scripts for the commands/settings.

Why do you want to warn players anyways? When the server is shutdown, a message is sent to the clients, is that not enough?

Re: [HELP] Sleep command in .cfg?

I'd like to warn players so they can finish the current match...
But when I shutdown, my players (and me too) get only a "connection problems" not a "server shutdown" so they may think it's a TRUE connection problem

And when you close with "shutdown" you get "connection problems" ?

Right

He said so. However, if that is the case he either does not use a standard teeworlds server or client, in which case we can't help, because we don't support modifications. Just use the standard teeworlds server and it should not be any problem.

Standard Teeworlds Server 0.5.2

Re: [HELP] Sleep command in .cfg?

Use 0.6.0 wink

Re: [HELP] Sleep command in .cfg?

Yes, you're using a modded server that is not based of the 0.6 source. Try to find your mod for 0.6 wink

edit: grilled x10
edit2: if you use 0.5.2, forget what you want to do sad
