Topic: [MAP] Alpines

Hello everyone. I was inspired to make a new map thanks to the new winter tileset and I noticed that there were hardly any flagball maps that used it so I spent some time and cooked up a new map. Here is my latest creation.

fb_alpines (Remember that flagball can be played with weapons so I made sure to add them.)

Overview

In-Game

But then I got to thinking that the map would work well for CTF too so I modified the goal area and placed the flags there so it looks like this...

ctf-base

Here are the downloads if you would like to check either of them out.

Re: [MAP] Alpines

Hey Nilaya,

today I played your map and I have to say, that I really like it. Gameplay is really good, I couldn't find any big problems in stucking anywhere on the map and loosing speed. The slightly animated goals are cool, too. smile

Btw, I found two smal blemishes. First is, that the winter doodads are still viewable, even when high detail is off. And the second thing is, that if you use dynamic camera you can see the end of the mountains quad when you fall down.
View this screenshot to see what I mean. Only some smal issuse... I justed wanted to mention them.

Anyway, again, great map wink

Re: [MAP] Alpines

Thanks for the kind remarks. I fixed those couple of problems you mentioned. Both maps can be re-downloaded from the links on the first post.

Oh yea, I wanted to mention that this map is definitely on the large side and probably works best for at least 4 v 4 if not more. There's plenty of room for large flagball games.
