Topic: Hosting Server Problems.

i have some problems with hosting a server for 6.0,
i wanted to host a RACE server and this is how i did it:

i used mod: teeworlds_srv_race.exe (special made for 6.0)

when i start up the server, i get the text down below here, i can't see my own server in "LAN" section on Teeworlds 6.0. i have really no idea what i might do wrong please help me out?

Try to host a 0.5.2 server. You should get the same error, imo it has nothing to do with 0.6.0.

Looking to your config and what you try to do is somewhat scary.
You try to run a DDRace map by starting a Race Server (which does not work) but it seems you don't like DDRace nor Race but that RDDrace stuff (no there is no such thing like "/r" in DDrace - it's a different mod).

Have you configured your router ( forwaded the port ) and checked if the firewall of your system maybe has something to do with it?

If not, then that's the problem!

GBKing please look at the serverlog. The server freezes while loading the map.

Hello!

You have to configure PC's AND your Routers Firewall to let UDP through the Port 8303.
PC:
Windows XP:
Go to Systemsettings
click on Windows-Firewall
click on exeptions.
click on Port
Portname: Anyname
Portnumber:8303

MAC and Linux should work similar.

Firewall of your router:
Find out how to get access to the settings of you Router using your connected PC(you may find useful information in the manual of the router)
With a samsung router you have to go to the adress: samsung.router
in you webbrowser.
In the Settings you have to find the Firewall Settings and Port settings.

If you need help to set up your Router use Google big_smile

Now you Server should work.

I'd like to know if you're running your server on a VPS..
If you are.
Whos the hosters?
If VPSLand = Only port 53 is open on UDP.
