Topic: tiles - edges cut off

Hi there!

...I need your help!

I'm currently working on an "asphalt (city)"-theme and as its my first tileset, I'm experimenting a lot with different styles.
But there is one problem: When I made tiles with stone parts, which overlap each other... They look fine in Inkscape and as a BMP (here in 300 ppi), but when I use them in TW, the edges of the tiles are cut off, so they don't fit together anymore...
You normally don't see these small missing parts, but in this case, they look realy ugly...

Is that a well known problem, or is it only my PC showing the tiles like that? Is the only way to solve the problem to leave a small gap between the tiles?

Re: tiles - edges cut off

you need to use tileset borderfix

Re: tiles - edges cut off

yep, what landil said... but nice tileset big_smile

you can find a compiled tileset_borderfix and dilate here.

To use it, just drag your tileset onto the executable... if you use windows.

Re: tiles - edges cut off

Thanks for your quick answers!
That simplifies the whole thing a lot smile

EDIT: Sry, I just saw that this is in the wrong forum... please move it to "graphics"!

Re: tiles - edges cut off

Another question: Is there another way to get the borderfix-files? The "nakido" servers are all overloaded and it would take two hours in the wait list...

Re: tiles - edges cut off

I only have this dilate.exe thingy. It is aswell for tilesets, but I don't know if it helps you...

I think you can find tileset_borderfix if you download the teeworlds source.. it's in there somewhere wink

Re: tiles - edges cut off

I guess this would work, I compiled it with the 0.6_trunk but I think it didn't change with the official release. Anway, here you go, if you need it: https://downloads.teeworlds.com/solidfi … derfix.exe
