Topic: [MAP] The Longest Yard

Some time ago Lost-F with me maked a new map called The Longest Yard. Why? Because main idea to make that map was map for Quake 3 Arena called The Longest Yard. We tried to save all good moments. Quake 3 is 3D, but I think that we sucsessfully remaked that into 2D to Teeworlds.

This map is crowded with weapons armor and health (in good placement). Because its for 6vs6 players (or more for hot game smile ) in TDM or CTF. Its better in TDM than in CTF, because this map is small (one professional rocketjump will lead you to enemy flag). It can be used in DM mod too.

Its not bad to use that map at some other mods (like instagib as example), but only without bots.

This map is not decorated. Only one tile layer is used.

Can you post a bigger screenshot...?

Crowded with weapons armor and health is a bad thing. Even if it's for 6v6, you should make the map larger then. And spread the health + armor evenly.

whats the program? also its alright. towers should be added on each base to give a new feel not just a downgraded 2d version of the quake map.

No, Itsonic, its not ''a downgraded 2d version of the quake map''. Its a new map BASED ON q3 map. Yes, there is no great changings, but we changed something. Added some groundblocks for more easy movings and added many pickups.

i don't like it there is no background?
& you only use tiles where tees can walk and hook on where are the doodads?
to many pickups..

So, its your opinion. But there is standart sky background from ctf5. Only at the screenshots it are disabled (hide)
