Topic: [REQUEST] Need help for creating a change log / community management

Dear community,

I know we can optimize the community-development-communication. The community needs to be informed about current developments, because we are progressing, but noone sees it. That really really sucks. Hence we need some volunteers who help to gather what has happened since 0.5.2. It's grinding: analyze the commits at github and classify them into "new features", "bugfixes" and "enhancements". If you wanna help me, please post a message and use the list tags

Re: [REQUEST] Need help for creating a change log / community management

thx a lot jxsl; that's a great job you did

But I have a little problem, the information needs to be aggregated. I'm sorry if I could not make it clear. Only few people want to read so many information e.g. "dutch language file updated, romanian language file added, German translation updated, added Spanish translation by Regnum" --> "localization added (Spanish, German, Romanian, Czech, ...)" is easier far to read. The links to github are supposed to be additional information and proofs that sth. actually changed.

Nice idea Landil, though I think this should be organized as a summary of the main new ideas/features added to 0.5.2, not like a list of all closed tickets. Don't write down all the 'fixed characters going off the screen when pressign Ctrl+Alt+Backquote', just the main improvements smile

Good luck!

That's what I mean by "aggregate information", except one point: I only want to show the actual changes not the planned changes.

Re: [REQUEST] Need help for creating a change log / community management

You should think about the linking. Some subjects have lots of commits. You shouldn't merge them invisible in one entry. I think we don't need linking of the commits because the players can't read them. If they can they are already watching at github I think.
