If you followed some of the discussion at this subject here on these forums, you would know that all developers disliked this way of dealing with security and cheating issues. It will take more time to get through, but trade-offs are bigger, open-source means something and when main developers just left/passed control to new, this will probably kill the whole game. And, in a more time, there are gonna be new bots. No one can win this race when playing for content producer, see rich and huge companies like EA, Apple, Amazon. Their data are still pirated, if there was a way to prevent it, wouldn't they do so?
