The paths look really unbalanced, the bottom one is way too linear. And I agree with spl0k, there is no map without pickups.
I don't like your signature at the top... that's not a good way to get recognized. It adds extra KiB to download, and it doesn't look well. If you want a sig, make words using the rocks in the jungle_main.
Regarding gameplay, it is okay. Some paths are a bit too small and require too much precision to go through. Nice for a start... if it is a start.
this map seems based on ctf4
1. The background is animated, it changes from green to black slowly.
2. I am not too lazy to add pickups, but I made this map for the instagib Mod,so I think I don't need it. (And, yes, I think this map would not be a good vanilla map)
3. The paths are NOT unbalanced, you can cap with every way in 6 seconds, I tested it.
4. This map is really not based on ctf4, it's just that ctf4 is the most played instagib map, just because it is a good map. So i tried to copy the feeling of ctf4 to this map.
5. Sreenshot with Gamelayer will follow soon.
6. The map is about 37 KiB big, I don't think the signature is a problem, but I will upload a version without it.

It it's not good for vanilla, it's not good for instagib. Every map needs pickups. Ctf4, your "lovely best played instagib map", has pickups.

Ah, and in my opinion, the walls on the sides are waaaaay too vertical. Look the official maps, you never see such a large linear hookable wall, that's crappy for gameplay.
About the positive points (because there are some), your graphics are really O.K. (apart from the animated background that must look horrible on a CTF map), and it seems like there are different ways to get some velocity (though I did not test it).

Because you say, this map is crap for instagib and it's definitely not crap... But it's your opinion, so I won't try to convince you.
I never said, that ctf4 is the 'best' played, I said it is the 'most' played map for instagib mod. And when you play instagib there are never pickups on the map, so why should I add them on the map?
It's just that in ctf4 you can speed up in different ways and on my map you can speed up in different ways, too, that's what I meant with 'copy the feeling'.

Wapps.warpaint: He means that the walls are too linear... let me explain. In most maps (good ones), all platforms should be reachable without the hook. Your left and right walls require a large amount of hooking the wall to get up.

In my map you need 0 hooks for coming from left to right and exactly 2 hooks to come to the flag.. o.O

EDIT: You need 1 hook to come to the flag.
EDIT 2: You need no hooks for anything, you can come to every platform without one hook, I tested it.

Because you never should release a map without pickups. That's like selling Linux, like Bill Gates in a Lada, like Teeworlds in 3D.

BUT, you say when a map is not good for vanilla, it can't be good for instagib? You mean, every map for vanilla is good for instagib, too? I mean, that's the other way round. And i think, that not every map is good for vanilla + instagib.
