[HELP] Symbols

Long answer
Go to your Teeworlds-folder and execute the bat-file called "config_directory.bat". When a new folder appears, open "settings.cfg" with your favourite text editor, such as Notepad or Kate.

Look for "player_name". To the right of that "player_name", you will see your tee's name. Change it to whatever you prefer, including those special symbols. Save the file as "settings.cfg" in the same folder as it was in before and start Teeworlds.

Since there's no need for having special symbols in chat messages (often referred as "binds"), I see no reason to show you how that works here.

On a sidenote; don't use the symbol "ø" instead of an "o". It is not the same symbol and it means something totally different.

you should close teeworlds before additing the settings.cfg if you open it while additing and close than the settings.cfg and than teeworlds...teeworlds would overwrite your settings.cfg with the actual information...

So... is taking out foreign characters going to be in the next version as to help gamers searching those with nicknames bloated with foreign characters? If that's the case I don't think they should be completely removed. Anyone who is friends with such person can add them to their friends list and find them via friends list.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I haven't actually seen it yet. ^^

I've only used three strange characters, max, in my name before. And yes, anyone with 8 of those in their name is very annoying.
