I've a big bug : When i run this client on my linux (ubuntu x32), There are no fonts ...
I tried beta2 and beta3 clients, and it's the same problem.

And normal teeworlds client works without any bug.
not a bug. you must copy all of the files in the nodes folder to your teeworlds folder and replace all files.

buff description: do damage through contact either hook or body
graphical effect: hedgehog skin + new hook skin
buff: ice time
buff description: tees within range are freezed for a certain time
graphical effect: ice skin ( e. g. choupoms skin ) + kinda freezed air around.
buff: baseball bat
buff description: when hit with the wrench tees are sent flying
graphical effect: Baseball cap skin ?
buff: mumie
buff description: you got only the hook. when hit by the hook tees are slowed down + dmg over time
graphical effect: Mummy skin + bandaged tee for opponents
buff: wiking beard
buff description: you got a beard !!! joke the more dmg you take your dmg will increase ( e.g. one heart left your attacks will one hit full health normal dmg )
graphical effect: Wiking skin or just tee with beard.
buff: Narwhal song
buff description: tees around you start dancing and singing with you the narwhal song( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykwqXuMPsoc ) -> tees are stunned
graphical effect: narwhal skin + emotes pop up from affected tees

First of all I'd like to thank alias for his great ideas. We are currently trying to implement some of them.
Here's what I drew today, you may guess which buffs/effects we'd like to use.
edit: graphic bug fixed
buff: pulse
buff description: a wave comes out of the tee and pushes enemy tees and their bullets back; simular to if they got hit by a rocket launcher capsule. Maybe laser won't be effected or as effected. Pulse has a radius of 5 tees long.
graphical effect: 3 very transparent waves come of tee shaped like circles. No gun but a different looking teeskin. Not sure what it'd look like...
why nodes ist not 0.5 trunk rework that
Short answer: because I rarely have time to work on nodes as college is getting my full attention atm.
Long answer: Many parts of the game have been rewritten or changed for nodes. The complexity of merging all of these changes to 0.5 trunk would be like cleaning a space shuttle with a toothbrush.
Hello, I made a little something for Landil's "crate" idea. I have made 3 crate icons. There is only 1 preview right now. I made the SVG available for download, so you can all enjoy it and create your own.

Year! I like the crate.
But I think the parachute looks a bit to small and it maybe needs an black outline (like the crate).
ok now include the sound: ENEMY AIRDROP ON THE WAY!!

No seriously :') Nodes reminds me of worms! I think it will fit to teeworlds very well
if anyone has a great copyleft sound for the crate animation ... post it here then

Edit: Actually I just have the sound when the box hits the ground: graveimpact.mp3 from hedgewars
Also found from Worms Armaggedon: crateimpact.wav cratepop.wav
They are now as great as I wanted them to be
crateimpact.wav sounds pretty good. But considering it doesn't have chains on it, it's less fitting.
Would this be violating some copyright issues? Or no?
I know hedgewars sounds are ok, for it is open source
thx a lot for your hints. I tried to do sth. similar by myself: https://downloads.teeworlds.com/solidfi … crates.mp3. There are two different sounds. The first one is the sound which is played when the chest occurs. The second one is the sound when the crate hits the ground. How do you like it?
The first sound is hard to hear, because it is so quiet.
Second sound is nice, but considering the look of the box, it would be nicer with not a plop sound, but a "clack" sound.
Is the crate going to be animated? Like the GIF i made?
yes there is an animation: the crates will fall down on a parachute while softly waving in the wind. I did not normalize the audio.
Besides: I recorded the sound of some falling cardboard boxes and pitched them ~6 halftones down.
What about maps without open tops? Will they materialize? (A blue static wave appears, and hides a crate fading in)
