Hay all,
my name is Ich and i want to do something for teeworlds.
I dont why i post this topic but i was borred and i like it to help others or do something for others.
My idea was:
Add new teeworlds maps in the folder.
what i mean?
you know, there are dm1,dm2...dm9 and ctf1-ctf4.
and i thougt
not all people download the new version of teeworlds.
so.. i will only use the "not downloadet mapres" so you only have to download 5-10 kb wink

or an other idea:
add new mapres (tilesets)/ skinns into the folder.
but only very nice which.

sry if i spam with this topic but ... xD dont know

i think it will be added in 0.6.0 version without your help, but if u want to help smile) start to read source code and learn C++ smile
you would help not only tw community but yourself too )

i started with learning c++ but i failed xD
thats nothing for me sry ;(
but i it would be soo nice if i make a map for teeworlds

Only way you can help out with devlopment is learning C++.
Making a very well-thought map with balanced gameplay requires a lot of gaming experience in CTF, what you haven't got.

even if i dont think that ctf1, as example, is balanced, you are right dune wink
and as learning c++ takes much time, the best thing you can do is to play vanilla instead of bad mods like ddrace.

That's why ctf1 has been reworked for 0.6.

And I guess it will take even longer to get large experience on ctf (if you reach the required level in your life) than learning C++... but well, you still need to know well teeworlds vanilla gaming to support devlopment.

but ok i understood, i only can help with learning C++ ;(
and i think thats nithing for me xD
i will look a second time on the tutorial,
and i try to dont fail at second part o.O xDD

When Slayer said DDRace's bad, he meant it's just a "fun" freaky mod that won't help you to earn any experience in vanilla, and you won't be respected by other programmers if you continue playing that kind of mod wink

And ich, the tutorial Compiling Everything won't help you to learn C++... it's just about compiling.

i dont sad anything about compile i think ...o.O
nad sure, ddrace wont help me
but if you know i startet with a dm in jungle style:
i think jungle_main is the wrong tileset for little maps
i dont like my map rlly but its my first dm tongue
