Topic: [SUGGESTION] Alot of Teeworld ideas

Some Ideas I got while playing......
1. A lazer RIFLE shoots a strong (red, green, blue?) lazer (not as long as the other laser) which doesn't bounce.
              -I like this Idea because I'm sick of having the Grenade launcher that has bullets affected by gravity
              -because I hate the lasers long loading time and too fast hit area (only lasts a split second)
              -because I'm sick of using the pistol because its so weak (and on top of that, its easy to miss so it is almost     
               useless)

2. An easier to use editor that is separate from the Teeworlds game.
               -This is kind of fustrating because for me and some other people, it is hard to keep track of layers and
                backgrounds.

3. A clip of ammo/a warning noise when ammo starts to run out (Only for non rechargeable weapons) [Both haveing On/Off function]

4. When a gun runs out of ammo, trash it.
               -Don't like running out of ammo

5. Take out ninja weapon
              -Too cheap/hard to control (Replace) (my opinion)

6. Friend adder
             -Uhhh... ya
           

7. Replay
             - This is kinda ridiculous (very hard to implement) and maybe should have placed this in the fun section but....
             -For training, you can make a replay of one session (single player without bots) like have you steal a flag really 
              fast and shooting at randomly and you just set your one goals like kill the tee before it gets the flag to "their"
              flag
             - Maybe allow the sharing of replays
             -Settings to change Tee's health so session would not be over too soon (or have infinite health and just have
              the tee lose "lives" but not respawn to not mess up the replay [Then you can start a high scores table for
              getting amount of lives killed for a replay])
             -OR you could have a tee restart the replay in invincable mode for like, 3 seconds so it loops and you must stop
              the tee from stealing flag endlessly until time runs out or you want to end the training.
             -A huge problem to Replays would be that you cannot touch or move the Tee in any way so if this idea is used 
              (probably not) then the Tee collision and hook collision would have to be disabled and flinching would have to
              be disabled too. (Tees do show stars to show how much damage you do though)
            -WOW....I really think i should have put this in the Fun section (OR when this game becomes a worldwide
             phenomenon, he could use this idea to get lots and lots of money by selling the game with this idea lol)

8. Hook a grenade in mid air to make it blow up (or deflect)

Random Gameplay options
Wrestling (with hooks or grenades or hammers) - You have to try to push or pull a tee off a platform
Tag - I dunno, touch a person and they bocome it
Army tag - I dunno tag a person and they become it, game lasts until no more people. only non IT people havve grenade
               launchers that DO NOT hurt them (to stay away from hook and slow down other people)
King of the hill.... or area - the longer a person stays on a hill or area, the more points they get. Game ends when point 
                                      limit is reached
War - Destroy the other tee's building  while protecting your own (which is one big building with specified amount of
         health)
Survival - get points for surviving and killing (survive 10 seconds for 1 point?)
TDM co-op - have more than 2 teams whenever possible and 2 players on each team (so like 2v2 except 2v2v2 or
                   2v2v2v2)
Turn based 1v1 DM - Winner stays in, Loser gets kicked to spectators
Tug of War - Use the "ball" suggestion later on to make a big ball in a center of an area. Using hooks and grenades, you
                  have to pull/push the the ball to your side. When the ball is to "the side" The ball respawns in the center
                  again after a 3 second break of victory
CTF 2 - With ONE flag in the center (only works on a symmetrical stage)
Solo CTF - One flag. The longer you hold onto it, the more points you get
Target - I'm sure the developers may have thought of this but... You get points to killing a tee, more points for the
            "target" and if you kill the "target" you become it


Random/Fun ideas that probably wont be implemented
1. Tazer - Your hook could zap people for a short period of time (like how ninja lasts a while)

2.Grenade that only has 1, 2, or 3 ammo to prevent too much explosion problems. (No impact explosions, again to prevent explosion problems)

3. Gooey bomb launcher (Kind of like Super Smash Bros Brawl) It will be like grenade launcher but when gooey bomb hits, it will stick and after 3 seconds, detonate.

3. In the graphics option, you should be able to switch on/off mods or gun skins like you can switch player skins

4. Minimap (An idea but even i dont think ill like that because no surprise attacks [OR maybe you could have it so when a person shoots, the guy (enemy) shows up on minimap])

5.When yu collect shields, have the tee get a piece of armor on the player every time the shield passes a certain mark (ex. 3 shield stuff, you get basic armor, 6 pieces, you get mask. When shields disappear, have armor fall off)

6. A ball - You can pick up from ground and throw to stun (respawns when thrown off edge or is destroyed with a grenade/ laser)

7. CHAT ROOM - Sometiimes, I just want a chat room for spectators. AND a video of whats going on that shows the WHOLE arena/battlefield/level/whateveryouwannacallit. Sometimes, i just feel like chatting

8. Mute sombody if spamming/annoying

9. Shop - Okay, okay before anybody says this is stupid, remember, this is in the fun section. The shop could be for in
              game only and could be used for buying developers "better detail" skins or for buying access to other servers.
              The money could count as kills (don't record deaths b/c that discourages people) so the servers thhat are
              bought could be pro servers or somthing like that.

10. Turrents - OKAY, this is getting out of hand. I should STOP

Almost agree with 1. Idea a big ball in a random map people have to pull it to his own side.

Because a gun without ammo is useless (except maybe for frightening the enemy off).
It is annoying when you have to change your weapon within the middle of a fight and then all the empty ones are cycled through.
Keeping the gun only made sense if there were ammo-only items.

I dont like any of your ideas. Why dont you play the game the way it is, instead of trying to make the game the way you are ?

I like this one as well, with a slight modification: Trash the empty guns ONLY after switching the weapon.
That way you still get the Click of Death, but you don't have to cycle through empty weapons (which can be quite annoying).

can be a great idea if you can see only your teammates in TDM or CTF

1. They are just ideas (and my opinion. I know most these would not work out as teeworlds is meant to be a simple game but this is just for fun to see what other peoples opinions are)
2. I do play the game without mods or skins etc.

dunno where to put it, so i'll write it down here.
I like very much vote options and stuff, but it lacks 'teams shuffle', cause of team balance @ ctf maps u r usually unable to switch teams if they have same number of players, so I think that randomly switching players (by vote or after winning the round) when teams seem rly uneven is not bad option.

0.6: teams will be balanced by the average pts per sec

If I understand you correct so one team will have good ping (good connection) and second team will have bad ping (bad connection) ? big_smile

I think he means the player score, not the ping. So the team which has the most score points per seconds will be balanced by adding more players to the other team.

@ Landil, any source which could back this up?

I have some ideas related to teeworlds skins and custom skins.
I dont know if i should make a new thread for this but they are small ideas so ill make it quick.


The next teeworlds [after 6.0] should support for normal coloured tees. This means that ctf colours would stay red and blue but the color will not fill the whole tee.

Ex:
Players have an option of seeing their team and other teams by:
-Normal, full colored tee
-Red/blue bandanna
-Red/Blue Eyes
-Opposite color exclamation mark above the enemy
-a opposing team color shown as a "force field" that surrounds the tee [Kind of like the invincible tauren skin
for the WAR3 mod]
-Or custom colored weapons/ammo
-etc. etc.

-OR... you could have your team with a white flag and have unmodified skins and the opposing team has Ctf color [Red/Blue] flags and skins

And this will probably not be implemented but ill say it just in case.
There should be a feature where if you are using a custom skin, you can choose a different skin that came with teeworlds to be shown to other people as opposed the the bland/sandy color default tee.

Those are my ideas. So. What do you think?

Minimap is already existing.
The mod with ball is also existing, called Capture The Tee.
Agree with trashing empty weapons, they're useless.
But the most of ideas sucks.
