Why does everyone want to change their names frequently? He is not the first one asking for it. You choose one name and you stick with it. There is no reason to be able to change it on the fly.
The same with the skin and color change. There is a reason why clients, that change it automatically, are banned. It consumes unneccessary server ressources and annoys the other players.

why you dont use your name when you play with your friends?

now, use the bind-command in your console, and you will see, it isnt working.
because some intelligent developers (or just luck) programmed, that you have to reconnect to the server, if you want to change the name. the other way is to open the settings while pressing Escape, go to the Player-tab, and close the settings with escape. now the client/server will recognize, that you updated your name and it will be changed.
same with the skin
