Topic: [HELP] Search does not find the server (unchecked everything)

I was arranging a game with some other players and they set up a game and were playing when I wanted to join. I've been looking for the game using the search function. Nothing showed up in my games list. I had every setting correct, tried using the server ip to join, disabled my firewall, tried every compatability mode, tried running in admin mode, redownloaded the game but nothing made the server show up for me. I was also the only person that could not find it in the list.

Does anyone know if there is a setting I need to change to join their server?

I don't know what exactly a CFG is, but the console window I get on startup gives me a 'failed to open 'autoexec.cfg'' message.

Yes, make a new Text document, Write in it some settings, (http://teeworlds.com/?page=docs&wiki=ServerSettings) and Save it as an autoexec.cfg. than run teeworlds_srv.exe, smile

Isn't that a 'how to start my own server'? tongue
I was was looking for a server already started by someone else.

A server that's already up and people are already playing on it, but it seems like I'm the only one that can't find it in the list.

Re: [HELP] Search does not find the server (unchecked everything)

Hello, welcome to the TeeWorlds! Possible solutions:
1) Try to delete your settings.cfg
(Go to folder with TeeWorlds, run config_directory.bat and there will be file settings.cfg, delete it)
2) Check your firewall settings, you may have clicked to wrong button when Windows Firewall asked you to deny/allow TeeWorlds to connect and recieve informations from Internet. If it does not work, try to add an exclusion for TeeWorlds game application.

Hope something will help you.

Because of the fact you can't connect via manually entering the IP, it's not a problem of your configuration-files. Instead, it must be you firewall, router or ISP blocking it. Teeworlds usually runs on port 8300-8310, UDP. So, my tip is to turn off all your firewalls, and anti-virus-programs and then try again.
