Topic: [HELP] Weird lag, not been there before

Hi all tee-freaks big_smile

For about 2 months ago i played teeworlds with no problems at all. Some servers where laggy ofcourse, but there was many servers without any lag. Now, after a 2 month break, i started playing again and i noticed this lag:

- The ping is about 20, pretty good. The game flows perfectly. Then suddenly its starting to lag like hell and makes me teleport everywhere and things with 1000 ping. Then it goes back to 20 and flows perfectly again.

// I havn't changed any graphic settings since the last time i played.
// I've been checking my graphic settings and changed for the better to play teeworlds but the lag stays.
// My internet is fast as i live in sweden (worlds fastest internet) so the internet shouldn't be the problem.
// I've portforwarded the teeworlds ports, even the weird ones.

- The thing is, the game works perfectly with no graphic nor internet failure at all about 30 seconds. Then it starts to lag as i mentioned. I really can't figure this one out. Please help! I need to play teeworlds ='(

Oh, and the lag is there even if i go on the best teeworlds server on the list sad

Should be good, Send a screenshot of the servermenu so i can see what ping it is on all servers wink

It could be the onboard memory of your router, that is full every 30 seconds and need to be cleaned up. Seems strange, but it's a possibility. Never tried changing router? What operating system are you using?

I had same problem.
Do as this:
- Enter the Server
- Play until ur CP (dont disconnect, wait until it brings you away from the server)
- Join again. (no cp more.)

i had better ping doing that.

You made me think of something that solved the problem big_smile

I rebooted the router in the D-Link local site, and now it flows big_smile
