Topic: [WEBSITE] International Mapping Elite

Hey!
Kill Mik and iTee Toni decided, after the disintegration of clan DoA, to create a mapper clan. Because there were not much member we altered it to a community.

Today I want to introduce the International Mapping elite. It is a mapping community, which HP was made by Phönix92. You will get help from expert mappers and we want to address especially the beginners of the mapper with the project, give them good advice (no NRace-Tileset: P ),... The mapping Elite will specialize in standard Gametype Maps.  Of course, we also help with all other Gametypes.

For good maps you need of course also beautiful tilesets. That is why we are looking for some good graphic designer.

Once a month will kill mik and / or iTee Toni organize a mapping competition. The whole thing is on a voluntary basis and will only take place, if there are at least three maps, that are registered for the competition. The winner-Map of the month is placed in the Addvote list of a 24 / 7 server and run for a month as Standartmap. (When the list is full, we are looking for a second 24 / 7 server tongue).
Kill Mik has already asked Fisico long ago in teesponsoring.com for a 24 / 7 server, but he has not replied yet, so we would also appreciate any other reliable sponsors that cost NOTHING.
We don't want and won't spend any money on the project.

This can be a successful project, if you manage to administrate it well. You'll need to spend a lot of time if you're going to have a map-contest each month. I think it would be better with as contest each third month, or something like that.

Besides that, if you really are good on mapping (= show me some of your maps), this idea could be very nice.

During the week we will start to split the community a bit. One part fully in english and the other part in german (there's a big language problem...)

For this English part of the forum we are looking for supporter, who can use a proper english!

we would test every map and I don't think that there will be more than 4 or 5, so it will be more work to manage the page...

Well, I can speak English pretty well, I think. As well as German.
But the problem is, that I'm stuttering in both languages, but If that's not a problem I'll be glad to help you smile

maybe you can help us a bit with a proper translation too and so on ...

I like this site--but make the contests every 3 months--a good map could take up to a month to perfect.

There is no real procedure to join a clan smile. You just meet people in the game, become friends and at if they are looking for more people for their clan they'll most likely invite you at some point. Or you could just ask, some clans will accept you straight away. Or you could give this topic a try, it's the right place to go with requests.
