Topic: [HELP] Teeworlds crashing on server list

Hello there, I was playing some teeworlds, when I joined a server which made me crash (i think the server is called something like zcatch).
So I restarted Teeworlds, but it was still crashing on the server list, as soon as I was moving the cursor, the game was just crashing.
When I'm going to LAN/Favorites, it doesn't crash, or when I launch the game offline it does'nt crash neither, it just crashes when I'm online and in the "Internet" tab.

Also, when in "Favorites" Tab, I can play Teeworlds as I could before, I can join my favorites servers and play..

I tried to reinstall several times, deleted all Teeworlds files of my comp (even temp files), re-installed, even tried with Z-team pack, but none of this worked out, that's why I'm asking here, I really need help!

I have the same problem (I also wanted to create a topic).

The problem appears on my Windows Vista x64 PC and also on my Win 7 x32 Notebook.

I had the problem also some weeks ago, but the next day it disappeared again.
I think that sometimes there is a "bad" server in the list that causes the crash.

Hi!

I have the same problem, and TeeWorlds hangs only, if the list loads a specific server entry.

It seems, that some corrupted data is causing TeeWorlds to freeze.

Some manipulated server maybe?

In this post are packets of the bad server listed and so I did some local tests. I figured out that invalid informations causes any Teeworlds 0.5.2 client to freeze. For example if I tell some client that at my server are 100/100 players playing the client will freeze. The bad server used 500/500 players but maybe there are other ways to freeze a client with invalid informations.

Edit: Teeworlds 0.5.3 pre is affected by the freeze but not Teeworlds 0.6.0 pre.

I had the same problem 2, it disappeared after i restarted... OS: Windows XP
