Topic: [DISCUSSION] Teeworlds becoming Teegraphics ?!
This whole topic came up in my mind when i have seen TheMessenger suggesting another graphic posterous blog for teePlanet.
To start with i want to make clear i´m not against anyone creating graphics, you all are free to create any graphics you want.
First of all i want to point out that there is no change in style. I mean all you so called graphic artists out there try to let your arts look "teeish". But you repeat the same style always again. It almost seems most of you lack of creativity. You copied once the style from some famous artists (e.g. Landil) and do your graphics the same way.
So try some crazy ways to draw tees and get some more different looking arts.
Because same style becomes boring.
Next point concerning Teeworlds graphics are skins / gameskins. You create almost over 9000 skins a week Please explain me the point of having so much skins in your skin folder if it just causes a longer loading screen. I like customisation at any point but this is just too much and add nothing in particular to the game. Additionally how many people use those skins anyway? I just dont get the sense when having 200-300 skins and there are approxmiately 50 used.
The result is we have here around 98 % graphics which add nothing to the game and are just good for the eye.
My point of view is if some of you graphic artist try to create a bit more tilesets we would probably have more maps. Nearlly all of you focus on skins/gameskins or artworks. There maybe 2-3 people who try to create tilesets.
To sum up my suggestions to the graphic artists out there. When you create new artworks try to vary your style a bit and don´t repeat your style again and again. Try to make something unique.
Create a bit more tilesets and make maps with it. This game is called Teeworlds and it is about all those different worlds ( maps with their different tilesets) and not about a gallery .
