Topic: [PATCH] Patched editor for 0.5.1

The purpose of this little patch is to enhance the usability of the editor.

Features:
* Better control of envelope values
* Deletion of envelopes
* Better positioning control of quads

For more exact information on the features and changed controls download the zip file and read the READMEpatch.txt.

Only Win32 binary and .patch file included. I won't compile it for other any OS myself.

Changes since 0.4.3:
Had to remove the automated map backup. Didn't work anymore, don't know why.

I remember that in 0.4.* version the editor crashed a lot. Is in 0.5.* version solved that problem?

I won't try it or test it, but great work! You have solved some anoying things of previous versions.

0.5.X shouldn't crash as much as 0.4.3 or at all while mapping.

I think u have to put it where your .exe is too.
but if i run the normal teeworlds.exe , there is no difference..
do i have to create like a new .exe or something?

you have to compile the patch to the original version|source

A ".patch" file can contain in this case a couple of ".cpp", ".c" or ".hpp" files, that are slightly different from the original ones. You will have to replace the original ones with the files from the ".patch" file and then compile everything.
I recommend Tortoise SVN for replacing the files and for compiling you may want to read a tutorial.

And for those, who just want to have the patched editor, here it is.

Nice patch!
But I haven't enough knowledge to compile it by myself. Would be nice if s.o. could reupload ayu's *.exe again.
Have to delete some envelopes slowing down my map and increasing unnecessarily the size. >.<

Sorry for bringing this thread alive, but I don't want to create another one covering that issue. big_smile

i have got an idea which would make this better
i rlly love at the wuad that you can click and hold than go left and right to change color...
what about makeing this with layers about how big it should be?

this is the reason because i dont use your map editor its rlly annoying to click all time to change quad color !

hope you dont worry about my opinion xD and configure your map editor

dont be hard with me:i am just a softdrink xD

I can only support this, it's my opinion aswell. Maybe I'll try to fix it on my own, but I just compiled everything, I'm not so good at C++

I'm not going to update this myself, but feel free to do so.
The Downloadlink is broken because I deleted all my teeworlds files some months back, and because I was on a rampage I deleted the backups as well.
