Topic: [HELP] TeeWorlds crashes when downloading a map

Hi,

I have a problem ; when I run some of the maps like "ctf5",  "lost" or other race maps, Teeworlds crashes and quit automatically. Can you help me?

PS: I'm running a Mac OSX 10.5 PPC G4.

Maybe you downloaded some maps corrupted. Then, try delete the maps that created problems in the past directly from the maps folder, then re-download them joining a server.

I deleted the map "ctf5" and re-downloaded it, but I still have the same problem.. sad

do you use a mod or the vanilla server/teeworlds-application?

Running corrupted clients may cause wierd things. But if you don't use something like that, you don't need to care. Things that should help:

  • Delete files related to teeworlds (except for the maps, make backups of files you want to keep), reinstall teeworlds. If it works, move the files you saved back to the teeworlds directory.

  • If that doesn't help, move the maps causing the problems (if you're not sure, remove all - really all, perhaps use search to find them) and reload them.

  • If that didn't help the problem might be caused by your hardware (if the map is too big, your grafic card can't handle it or it uses too much memory).

Note: I have never used mac, so I don't guarantee for anything smile

Yeah, a MAC problem ^^
So, for now, no solution I think.
