Topic: [SOLVED] Reskinning the game?

Recently I downloaded a Portal-themed game skin (The kind with reskinned flags and guns, not your your tee,) but when I started up a game, all the stuff was just different coloured rectangles, red or blue. The post where I downloaded it received positive feedback, so I'm sure it's just me. Help?

i dont get what you are saying but all the data you change doesnt matter because all players play on their own settings

I am not a pro and not a noob but try my best

Maybe the downloaded file is broken. Try opening it with an image viewer.

The problem may be:
- game.png missing
- game.png corrupted
- game.png in the bad directory
Analyze these...

1. I have the original and the new one. The new one is in the spot where the old one was, in the data folder to the left of the gui_cursor.
2. How do I tell if it's corrupted? >.<
3. I think 1 covers it.

EDIT: Redownloaded, no help there. The gameskin itself is here: http://www.teeworlds.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5513

It's corrupted if the dimension of the new image is different from the original one, it's corrupted also if a image viewer/editor software can't open it properly.

EDIT: downladed it and it works.
So, how you installed the skin?
Download it, call it "game.png" and replace the default one (overwrite it).

Well, it opens properly and I'm pretty sure the image's dimensions are all right. THIS MAKES NO SENSE BLARGHYHERBLEGAH!
EDIT: Oh, ok. Hold on.
EDITEDIT: It still doesn't work. Renamed and all.

tested it too and it was working fine. you are doing something wrong.
maybe you should post a screen with your teeworlds-folder that we can check what you have to change? (of coz the data)

Err, sorry for the double-post, but never mind, I fixed it. I renamed the game.png to game, and it's fine. tongue Thanks for all the help, anyway.
