Something which makes me laught.

And to discribe what's teeish or not, I would say:

gradients are ok for arts...

The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.

Re: [QUESTION] Tips for nice ART!

Honestly, I think whatever you are into most, just turn it into tee-style and that would be best since I don't want all the artwork in the teeworlds forums to be cookie-cutter.

And my tip would be, make it original. smile

Give others the respect you wish to be respected with. In the mean time, enjoy the website!

Re: [QUESTION] Tips for nice ART!

People here are so into tee-style... I find it annoying that there are no other styles that are approved of, because I know there are other cool designs, and when you're doing fan-art, the possibilities are limitless. So I say, if you think you have a good idea, then be your own person.

BUUUT...here are some tips for doing tee-style, if you don't.

Keep shading minimal, and try not to do too many steps.
If you do a shadow, make it flat and desaturated from the main volume
Try not to do too many strokes, they can create a bad effect
If you are doing textures, you only have to do a little to suggest one. So if you are doing bricks, you only need to do few bricks, and not fill in the wall.

And above all, keep it uncluttered. smile

I need to figure out something to put here.

Re: [QUESTION] Tips for nice ART!

Well, Jon... If we play Teeworld, everything we draw for it should be tee-style? No? wink
But, we can draw tees not only in inkscape, photoshop or other programs. We can also use pancil, pen, and other cool stuff we have in real life. (Thats what im about to do wink)

And Flight -  1) You can make all kind of emotions to the tee, there's no such thing called "the most popular emotion". If you draw funny - we laugh, if you draw sad - we cry (or just make a sad face, ok? big_smile)

2) The shadows of the tee should not be pixely, the art itself shouldnt be pixely to. Adding some
things from.. I dont know.. "Comando", for example, in your Tee-Ish Art - Its not good. (I know some ppl think it cool, but forget about it! Its gross! oO)

3) Gradients are really nice if you use them as a background. If you take a look it this art I made
http://pikucha.ru/321374/thumbnail/DedMorozTw.jpeg

You will see the gradient behind the mountains. The hands of the tee, as some pro-arts told me before, shouldnt be round. And the legs too. Well... Thats all I can say for now.

Re: [QUESTION] Tips for nice ART!

what i do, for simple circles, is take the thing you want to put a shadow on, copy it, and move it to the left a little. then i fill it with a transparent gray, so only a segement of it is shaded.
