Topic: [SOLVED] Tunning a server ! (I already visited the documentation)

Hi smile
After creating a server, I encountered a problem in tuning it as shown in this page :
http://teeworlds.com/?page=docs&wiki=ServerTuning

My problem is, when I try to tune a variable by using the command :

tune variable value such as tune gravity 2000,
it says that the gravity has changed to 2000 but just after :
resetting tuning due to pure server.

What does it mean a pure server? how can I solve it ?

Thanks a lot !

I think if you want to tune a server you have to use the gametype 'MOD'. Vanilla gametypes, such as DM TDM and CTF are only thought for standart tuning, so if you run it tuned, it will reset all tunings to default automaticly.
(Correct me if I am wrong)

Thanks a lot for answering
I changed the gametype by putting :

"sv_gametype MOD"

but when I look at the list, my server's gametype is shown as DM and I tried to tune, but does not work with the same reason hmm

You have to change the map that the game type change takes effect.

The gametype is actually 'mod'. It is case sensitive, iirc.
And I wouldn't recommend tuning the server at all.

aka cheesy

One more thing, how can I turn correctly a map ?
because when I run tabletennis0.5, there are no configurations like other table tennis that I can found on other servers... on mine, it is a dm x) and the speed is slow in contrast of other table tennis servers... why ?

He means it's case sensitive, so 'MOD' is different from 'mod', and iirc is if I remember/recall correctly.

No, he just said that if you had wrote 'mod' instead of 'MOD', it would have worked, but it's not the solution, sure.

Tabletennis is desgined to be played with the BALL mod, so search the server, and a configuration.

Damn it, did you even think about you searching before posting ?!
