Topic: [SOLVED] Make a server: help
Hello.
I am a beginner in building servers, and I did not understand. Could someone explain (or give me a link to a tutorial to create a server, French if possible)?
Thank you in advance.

Hello.

Thank you.
I did what was also here: http://teewiki.info/wiki/Server_hosting:Windows
I did all the steps, but the server does not start. I have no router not need Port Forwarding.
I think the link you provide is a bit confusing.
Instead of calling the config file "server.cfg" call it "autoexec.cfg". Now just simply run the server "teeworlds_srv.exe" by double click.
That's faster
A screen of my problem: http://i62.servimg.com/u/f62/13/22/36/21/teewor10.png
I uploaded the file autoexec.cfg
Now teeworlds_srv.exe not open even more ...
Ahhhhh.
So it's a port forwading problem ^^
You don't even got a box before your computer ?
I'm pretty sure you do, and that's were you need to do port forwarding.
Btw, the autoexec.cfg is designed to be execute after all config (even if it would be smarter the other way).
But if it works without, delete it.
What should I do?
It means that nobody can connect to your server through internet. You haven't "white" IP for that. If you want to try to solve this problem, read http://www.teeworlds.com/?page=docs& … gUpAServer (second question). Or ask your provider to make port forwarding or how to get "white" IP.
I am still stuck ...
Is there a page has, apart from the one cited on this topic (bringing the game site) with all the common problems when creating a server?
Don't think so, although there are several topics about it.
Just try to connect to your box (the one from you're ISP (FAI in french)), and look for NAT or LAN, then port forwarding.
If you don't know how to do it for yours, just search it on Google.
Sometimes you can connect at 192.168.1.1, sometimes you need to go to you're ISP's website.
No, sadly not. However, feel free to add me on some IM, it's easier to talk there:

Take this topic http://www.teeworlds.com/forum/viewtopi … 173#p57173 a an example of how portforward your router. That's your only problem at the moment.
Wrote a really fast guide: http://teewiki.info/wiki/Create_a_server
I found a good tutorial video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2gXlji3Qxg
On the video file .bat opens and the server running. At home, I double-click the file .bat, but it does not open ... I have written what was in the file .bat
Since I don't have Flash player I can't watch the movie, but make sure the path to the folder really exists in your bat-file.

The video is clear, but not in the point where it create the bat file.
Are you sure from the notepad, when saving the bat file, you selected "All file" in file type? If not, it will save you a Server.bat.txt file, which is a text file, not a bat
It's really annoying, it never works.
Good things are happening to serious, I show you a screen of the folder where the .bat and .cfg
Why do you create those files in the teeworlds configuration folder? Do it in the normal teeworlds application folder, this should solve your problem.
Can you show your bat file?

I have seen this video too but why should you need a .bat file for?
When you have created a autoexec.cfg you just have to open teeworlds_srv.exe!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tAXweyG … re=related
I also saw this video, I made the autoexec.cfg file.
Well it works yet.
Toitoinne, telepathes are on holidays. We cannot understand problem without your bat file text.
Content the .bat file: teeworlds_srv -f server.cfg
Try that:
..\teeworlds_srv.exe -f server.cfg
