Thx for your appraisal Merlin, but we will put up a RUSSIAN server. Which means that ze Germans prolly do not even want to join these servers as their ping is high. We will give it a try.

Well, since this is a complicated and more well throughout mod, it takes longer for new versions to come out, henceforth some people will get bored of it. But I wouldn't give up. You just need to make a mod that stays interesting not mater how long you've played it, which is why you can't just add anything into the game, it needs to really enhance the game play or else it can detract.

I think landmines would do the game some good. Just like how it looks in chaosfaction. <3
[Side Note:] That game might be a good place to get ideas.

we want to implement an option to vote for spec.

in addition we want to add several teestrike-weapons, but we do not know yet how. We do not want to make nodes too complicated. (at least they will become tl4)

ohh and prolly we will use our own masterserver then

Ideas for tech 5 (since 4 is already beeing made):

At tech 5 every player can choose 1 of 4 sets. Each set has a tee strike weapon and a passive ability (so far not my idea). There are 4 sets: 2 offensive sets - 1 anti tee set - 1 defender set

1: Anti Tee:
Sharkbait -> shoots through building without dmging them. Can just hit tees. More dmg on more distance.
Used to take out attackers or to protect attackers of your own team

2: Defensive:
Pancake (the first tee strike grenade launcher xD) -> shoot into the ground to create a mine. If an enemy touches the mines radius it will jup a little bit into the air and then either explode or spray shotgun bullets. There are just 3 mines in the weapon - if you put more the first mine you laid will go off.

3: Offensive 1:
Jackhammer (shotgun) -> 4 bullets, very fast shooting.
Used to take down shield energy or to quickly take down an enemy without using any skill.

4: Offensive 2:
Big Momma (grenade) -> shoots an almost straight flying missile that explodes on shields and on buildings. slow reload big dmg on buildings. Low dmg on players (3).

Abilitys could be: Spawning with 4 armor. More hp. Slow hp regeneration if you stay still (defender). faster movement . longer hook. tripple jump etc.
Just things like that.

Special weapons would be available by a special weapon chamber that gives everybody the weapon he picked.

as ppl are already overstrained with 3 tech lvls 5 would be much too much.

So plz just stop at 4 lvls.

Additionally with each tech lvl you increase the possible time for one match it gets exhausting if you have like 1-2h matches. Even if this is a completely new game it still features some Teeworlds elements and you should not forget about your roots.
So fast easy understandable matches plz

that's the tl4 idea: one passive skill, one disadvantage, one teestrike weapon.
If you wanna help us marik, give us four balanced ideas regarding tl4

oh.. we do not plan any tl5 at present

i think dynamite is a good idea
if the tee has a dynamite in the hand and he can throw it away like a grenade an it make a huge damage but you only get it in tech lvl 4 or 5 and if you go to the ammo dispender you only get 1 or 2 Dynamites

But if we just remove everything i wont get better. And if it wont improve... wheres the point in adding something anyway?
Lets just remove the turrets - the shields... the weapon cases because they are annoying... the spawns because it would be better if they where constant somewhere... the health and armor dispenser...

And guess what -.-
We end up with vanilla tw if we balance everything by removing it.

maybe...in tech lvl 5 someone just 1 tee gets a bigger Hammer so he can can give spawns and reactor more defense then the others smile

New Idea that could be much fun for the people playing -> Achievements (hope i wrote it right this time xD)

They dont have to give any bonus or something (but if they would if would be cool).
Make a "Achievements" button next to favourites and save the achievements in the client.
Though it would probably be a lot of work and maybe the loading time would be bigger... and maybe also more lags at the servers though im not sure about things like that hmm

Well - heres a list of achievements that i came up with:

Weapon rookie - kill 30 tees with this weapon
Weapon man - kill 100 tees with this weapon
Weapon pro - kill 300 tees with this weapon
Building destroyer - destroy 10 - 30 - 70 of this building
Plague Spreader - infect 5 10 30 enemys with that green thing
Last man Standing - be the last of your team alive (for at least 1 min) without any spawns
Headhunter - kill the last tee 20 times.
Finisher - Destroy 5 Enemy generators (or deal a total of 1000 dmg to enemy generators?)
Rebounce pro - kill 5 enemys with a projectil that rebounded from a shield
Builder 1- build 30 buildings
Builder 2 - build 100 buildings
Bob the Builder - build 300 buildings
Suicider - die 20 times in 1 game through death tiles or self dmg
Suicide bomber - kill a building and your self with 1 grenade (5 times)
Defense/Offense/Anti tee Pro - Kill a certain amount of ppl using a special class (I jsut took my classes since i dont know the official classes)
Ready to Go - have full armor full health and all (3 + special weapon) weapons.
Teeleporting - Take 15 people with you when teeleporting (by hook)
Total Domination - killl at least 50 tees, destroy at least 30 enemy buildings and build at least 10 buildings in one game
Traitor - join the other team when there isnt even a need to balance
Spycam - join spectator for at least 30 seconds then join your team again
Juggernaut - kill 15 enemys without dying

Ummm Thats about it... Though this was just the first stuff that came to my mind xD

Think this could be a lot of fun for players... ^^

Aaaaaaaaand - Heres something new that I came up with xD

Idea for tech 5: TANKS

Description:
The Tank is basically a giant tee that is controlled by one guy of the team. The Tank should be about 4 or 9 tiles big (about 2.5 - 3 times as big as a normal tee). There are 4 different tanks with different abilitys and weapons.
Every tank has a weapon like one of the normal weapons but stronger (and bigger maybe with some little new designs).
Which tank type the team will use is choosen by a vote -> when you get tech 5 the next time you spawn a kind of pop up window will open similar to the build menu -> double click on the picture of a tank to vote for it. Tanks should have some metallic skin -> but they should look different.

Building the tank:
First there needs to be a tank station, a huge building about as big as the reactor.
Once the tank station is built it needs to charge -> when fully charged you can "Overheal" it to start building the tank. Tank station has 100 health points the tank has 70 health points to be built. There can just be 1 tank station. The charging time takes about 4-5 minutes. The charging time will start as soon as the tank is destroyed.

The tank pilot:
Once the tank is fully built the player with the highest score gets the request: "You are about to be the tank Pilot".
He gets a vote that says "Do you want to be the tank pilot?" By voting yes he will respawn in the tank the next time he dies -> voting no will choose the player with the second highest score to be pilot.
A player cant be pilot 2 times except if all teammates had the chance to be pilot.

Controlling the tank:
Tanks are not thought for defense but to end the game faster.The armor points of the tank display the controle you have. They slowly go down all the time if they reach 0 the tank will selfdestroy. Whenever you hit an enemy you will gain 3 shields but the armor loosing will go on. If you hit an enemy building or a shield you will get 6 armor and the armor loosing will stop for 3 seconds.

Things to say:
The moving tank can be repaired by any team mate or the pilot. All tank types have about 30 hp. If the pilot switches to the wrench - inside of the tank - the tank will go down and do nothing but the pilot can Heal it -> 1 hp per hit, and recharge ammo -> Different each type.
Tanks can jump and move at a fast speed by simply runnning.
Tanks that touch a deathtile will be launched into the air (about double as high as a normal jump) and loose 55-10 hp. If they touch a death tile again without touching the ground - they die.
Not sure if they should have a hook or use some kind of jetpack.

Tank Types:

Gunner Tank:
The tank has a giant normal gun with 50 ammo. He can fire it by holding the button. Bullets deal the normal 1 dmg but it has a high fire rate. Ammo slowly reloads, though faster than a normal gun. A friendly hit with the wrench will restore 3 pistole shots. The tank can sped up quickly by simply runnning and can jump very high.

ION Tank:
Shoots a green laser. If the laser hits something (Shield,Building,Enemy) It will cause a large explosion at that point and spray some of that radioactiv thing. 8 dmg on tees (explosion or laser) 6 dmg on buildings (10 dmg if both laser and explosion hit). Tank has 25 hp - low fire rate - normal movement.

Kanon Tank:
Shoots giant grenades - Big explosion 8 dmg. If they get reflected from a shield they will lie at the ground and explode if an enemy gets close. 25 health - low fire rate - movement as fast as a normal tee (=slow)

Shotgun tank:
No ideas for this one yet:/


I think that was the longest post I made so far...
Its probably very complicated to code but its not too complicated for players... And if they have no idea what to do they can ask their team mates or simple denie the pilot request.
Also noobs wont get the highest scores of the teams so they wont get to use the tank too fast.

I like the Idea of a big Tee as a tank...
But imho there shouldn't be different tanks in the beginning.
I would make the tank have more than 30 HP, but move slowly, so it's like a big machine of destruction, which can be stopped by the enemy before it reaches their base.

Maybe make it damage buildings it touches. (and only let it pass through if there is no building in the way)
Also building the tank shouldn't be that complicated.
Maybe just add an option to build one directly without an additional building...

Yeah but in a map like supremacy (just as an example) where the base could be anywhere up and down a "slow machine of destruction" would have problems coming along or even find a way to a base that can just be reached by jumping at a certain speed or hooking.

I wanted the tanks to be some overtee machines with just 1 weapon sad
And why not different types?
If every player of the team is forced to click on a type they will vote for one... and if they read the description of the type - even better.
