Idea for tech 5: TANKS
Description:
The Tank is basically a giant tee that is controlled by one guy of the team. The Tank should be about 4 or 9 tiles big (about 2.5 - 3 times as big as a normal tee). There are 4 different tanks with different abilitys and weapons.
Every tank has a weapon like one of the normal weapons but stronger (and bigger maybe with some little new designs).
Which tank type the team will use is choosen by a vote -> when you get tech 5 the next time you spawn a kind of pop up window will open similar to the build menu -> double click on the picture of a tank to vote for it. Tanks should have some metallic skin -> but they should look different.
Building the tank:
First there needs to be a tank station, a huge building about as big as the reactor.
Once the tank station is built it needs to charge -> when fully charged you can "Overheal" it to start building the tank. Tank station has 100 health points the tank has 70 health points to be built. There can just be 1 tank station. The charging time takes about 4-5 minutes. The charging time will start as soon as the tank is destroyed.
The tank pilot:
Once the tank is fully built the player with the highest score gets the request: "You are about to be the tank Pilot".
He gets a vote that says "Do you want to be the tank pilot?" By voting yes he will respawn in the tank the next time he dies -> voting no will choose the player with the second highest score to be pilot.
A player cant be pilot 2 times except if all teammates had the chance to be pilot.
Controlling the tank:
Tanks are not thought for defense but to end the game faster.The armor points of the tank display the controle you have. They slowly go down all the time if they reach 0 the tank will selfdestroy. Whenever you hit an enemy you will gain 3 shields but the armor loosing will go on. If you hit an enemy building or a shield you will get 6 armor and the armor loosing will stop for 3 seconds.
Things to say:
The moving tank can be repaired by any team mate or the pilot. All tank types have about 30 hp. If the pilot switches to the wrench - inside of the tank - the tank will go down and do nothing but the pilot can Heal it -> 1 hp per hit, and recharge ammo -> Different each type.
Tanks can jump and move at a fast speed by simply runnning.
Tanks that touch a deathtile will be launched into the air (about double as high as a normal jump) and loose 55-10 hp. If they touch a death tile again without touching the ground - they die.
Not sure if they should have a hook or use some kind of jetpack.
Tank Types:
Gunner Tank:
The tank has a giant normal gun with 50 ammo. He can fire it by holding the button. Bullets deal the normal 1 dmg but it has a high fire rate. Ammo slowly reloads, though faster than a normal gun. A friendly hit with the wrench will restore 3 pistole shots. The tank can sped up quickly by simply runnning and can jump very high.
ION Tank:
Shoots a green laser. If the laser hits something (Shield,Building,Enemy) It will cause a large explosion at that point and spray some of that radioactiv thing. 8 dmg on tees (explosion or laser) 6 dmg on buildings (10 dmg if both laser and explosion hit). Tank has 25 hp - low fire rate - normal movement.
Kanon Tank:
Shoots giant grenades - Big explosion 8 dmg. If they get reflected from a shield they will lie at the ground and explode if an enemy gets close. 25 health - low fire rate - movement as fast as a normal tee (=slow)
Shotgun tank:
No ideas for this one yet:/
I think that was the longest post I made so far...
Its probably very complicated to code but its not too complicated for players... And if they have no idea what to do they can ask their team mates or simple denie the pilot request.
Also noobs wont get the highest scores of the teams so they wont get to use the tank too fast.
