Topic: [COMPLAINT?] Teeworlds got much Problems!

Teeworlds get's lots of problems, people make too much useless clans, too many are botting, and very many are just flaming people soo they get Sad or Mad. And Too many mods are coming and coming! ask someone that can check where people sells /gives out aimbots. and report them. couse it's very annoying with that, My Friend SliCeR have stop play teeworlds becouse of this, so much aimbotters, useless mods, useless clans, and lots of shit! i accept people send out Mods that are usefull.

So i want someone too clean up teeworlds. some mods are not used couse they are not working, but no one is removing the server, when i started teeworlds, Instagib, Race, Vanilla, RPG was alive, now it is lots of useless mods.

And much People i know, stop play teeworlds couse very many useless servers are online, wich makes very much laggs! And it's lots of bad things in it, clans with disgusting names, or Mean Names, (Once it was a clan named [Azk-Sucks] just couse Leader Hated a man called Azk!) It feels Very annoying!

Another Problem is a man that are playing very much right now, but that kicks m00n.members of a popular server, just couse he got rcon and don't like m00n.

I Don't Complain, i'm just very tired of this!

Normal day at school than oh MY GOD YOUR ALMOST HIT BY A RANdom truck.

Boring... sry, but that's nothing new... that has been disscused over and over again. It is good that you want to do something, but the is really nothing you can do!
- You can't do anything against botters
- You can't do anything against clans
- You can't do anything against server hoster (except they host, e. g. a insta server but it's registered as a vanilla one)

Yeah, sure some players really suck... but the best is to join high level servers, where players don't bot, are kick someone only by fun.

This is simply wrong. The ping of a server (and with that it's quality in terms of lags) depends mostly on the server's bandwidth and the player's distance to this server. But it is never affected by the number of other servers. Please keep to the facts when creating topics like yours.

About the post in general:
As Tee Killa allready said, there is not much one can do about it. Everybody is free to create his own clan, and everybody is free to create his own server. Anything other than this would not comply with the idea of teeworlds, and thus it should be kept like this. If you don't like some servers, because you considere them "bad" just don't play on them. If all the other people think like you in that manner, and don't play on that server,  the hoster is likely to shut it down anyway. Also i seriously doubt anybody would leave teeworlds because of too many "bad" mods. Every person that is not completly dumb will just not play the mods, instead of leaving teeworlds.

Once there was a project which tried to create a quality standard for maps. I don't know if it still exists, I think it was called TQ (Meaning TeeQuality), or something similar. The general idea was that people could send in maps, and the project management decided on if the map conformed with the standards. All maps that did conform were then listed in the first topic so they could be viewed easily by everybody. I believe the project management consisted of official mappers, developers and very good mappers of the community (I think Chi1 was beyond them).

In my opinion it would be a great idea to revive this project and maybe to extend it's scope to mods(not sure about that though).

Re: [COMPLAINT?] Teeworlds got much Problems!

Although (some of) these are valid concerns, the Teeworlds team has since long realized that we can't pick our audience and issues like flaming and aimbotting are therefore out of our control. Same goes for disfunctional mods, this can be an inherent problem of every open source game, and is not something which we can (or should try to) manage.

There is one solution however, and it's a good one too. You should make sure you play on respected servers with proper administration. Then all problematic issues can be managed by either kicking or banning offending players. You can save them as favorite servers so you can easily return to it the next time you play the game. We can't help you with this, but we can enable users to filter servers as efficient as possible. This is something which has certainly improved over the last few Teeworlds releases and will most certainly improve when news versions are released.
