Topic: [SOLVED] Console says "No rcon password set"

Hi, I have a problem. I created a map and tried to run it on my server. But the console won't accept my rcon_password.
This is what I did:
1) I executed teeworlds_srv.exe
2) Executed teeworlds.exe
3) In the lan server browser I connected to the server (which runs the map dm1)
4) I opened the console to change the map.
5) It says "Enter Password". I entered the password from the server_config.cfg
6) Now it says: "No rcon password set on server. Set sv_rcon_password to access the remote console."

On your config copy this:
sv_rcon_password pass123
Now you'r password is pass123!
sv_rcon_password Myself
now your rcon is myself!
Pretty easy.

That's not the problem.

Your problem, Tokoloshi, is that your teeworlds_srv don't load the config file. Under command line, you must run the server like this: teeworlds_srv -f server_config.cfg.
You can automate this procedure using a link with parameters or a bat file. Or, simply, renaming "server_config.cfg" into "autoexec.cfg"

Thanks, but now I have another problem:

I've renamed "server_config.cfg" into "autoexec.cfg", but now I can't find the server in the serverbrowser.

This problem has been posted and answered thousand of times.
The problem is in the router/firewall configuration. Teeworlds needs USP port 8303 opened and routed to your PC (internal pc address).
So, check your router configuration, disable all firewalls or add a rule for the game server (also firewall software like Windows or Zone Labs).

Hm, thanks. I'm gonna try that out. But why do I need to open ports, if I am hosting a lan server?

you don't need too open ports for a lan server, you can even let firewall stay,
perhaps try with TSC? it's good!
