Topic: [MAP] ctf_ayu

Hello Teeworlds community!

I've been working on this map for quite a lot of time and I think, it's ready to be released.

It is a medium sized ctf map for 4-8 players (2on2, 3on3, 4on4 recommended).

Without Gamelayer

With Gamelayer

Ingame 3

Though I put so much effort in developing this map, I'm not quite sure if I put all the pickups at the right spot. I'm open to improvements.

Re: [MAP] ctf_ayu

i like it, but maybe you should make those small platforms a bit bigger and natural,.

try to mix the hearts and armor up, like e.g.

X is hearts and O is armor, righ tnow it is XXXX and OOOO, try to do XOXO or XOOX or OXOX

edit: i dont think there is aneough weapon.

but great movement and design.

hehhehehehehehe.

dont mix the powerups. Mixing powerups sucks!

Antoine de Saint Exupéry: It seems that perfection is reached not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
Besides -  I am the gfx guy!

I see nothing perfect in that map. It will be problematic to move on that map cause of the "floor". Watch the standart maps - there's always a flat floor that let's you move easily without stucking on the each second metre. Well, yeah, it looks cool and unusual, but it sucks for a gameplay. If you was making a map with hope that smb will play it, then you failed, and you probably have to remake it.

In that point I disagree with you. I looked at the standard maps (especially ctf1 and ctf3) and used them as a pattern. And if you've played the map for at least 20 minutes, then you'd see that it is pretty easy to get good movement.
Besides, it's only your opinion and I don't think that I've failed.

agree with ayu - Hes just trying to make the floor look natural, like ti was made by nature.
