Topic: [HELP] Can't see all servers (there are many with an exclamation mark)

Hello, i want to play teeworld but my problem is, i can't see all servers, if my friend enter in one server and this server not loaded in the list of principle, i can't follow my friend. And interestingly they show up as exclamation few left of various servers and ip.

Thanks for help me.

check the filter?

i don't put filters, for more info, i have windows 7 and no firewalls.

Do you mean that when your friend joins any server, you cant see that server?

Look at the ping. Really bad one. You can't see them because they have a ping above 999ms. Check your connection.

Check your router / firewall configuration. Disable DOS attack protection, because sometimes the method the query the masterserver can be blocked by your firewall, because it makes to many requests. Disable also Windows Firewall.

Check the filter "only compatible server". Now you see only server where you can connect. You can see all server the other can see, so if your friend join one of these you can follow him without problems.
Like you said, your mate joined a server "not listed" in the masterserver. And that's the problem. If a server is not listed in the masterserver, probably got firewall problems and can't be joined by people outside the local area network.

Could also be a master failure (one master doesn't answer and people can't get servers registered on this master),
or just 'sv_register 0' in the server config.

ok buffer, that means that I can not play certain servers? never? when i was windows xp saw all servers, but in windows vista and 7 cant see.

Nope, master failure are short, and sv_register is relative to one server.
Anyway, if with XP it was working, watch your firewall (of course you got one, the Windows one).
