today i installed the new Windows 7 Beta on my Computer and it was a shame. I tried to start Teewords but no way. The Game starts but you can`t play it because it laggs to much. OHHH Microsoft what are you doing.
Uh... it may just be that you haven't installed the right gfx drivers.
And Windows 7 is only Beta version, there can be much errors in system and it may not be the teeworlds problem
Are you running Windows 7 as a virtual machine? Because this causes huge lags (with all games).
Not only with games, but with the whole operating system. 
I have the same problem. All other games work excellent. On Windows 7 build 6801 Teeworlds were good with compatibility mode... But this doesn't help on build 7000... Tried 0.4.3 and 0.5.0 versions of TeeWorlds.
You will need working OpenGL drivers for teeworlds. I guess that's the issue.
Good. Where can i get "working OpenGL drivers for teeworlds". I have Intel 945GSE Chipset, GMA950 Video.

Problem solved with installing old drivers. They work well. But in compatibility mode for teeworlds.exe, too.
Any way to make it work without compatibility mode?
I got Windows 7 too, and first i had the same Problem.
But I just forgot to install my Graphic-Card Driver. ^^
I have a Radeon Card, and I already install video drivers, but the same problem appears 
Different compatibility mods doesn't help.
Also i've noticed that it works perfect the first 3 seconds, but then a huge lags begins...

Yeah, when i reintalled my windows, i musted install drivers. Before thath my teeworlds lagged so much

for ati: try to install the windows vista driver on windows 7... most times.. it works much better.. as the windows 7 one -.-

If you have a an CD or DVD-disc with grahpic-drivers, use that. If not, try Windows update, or search for a driver on Google.
The problem isnt in graphic drivers - it is in network connection!
Because when i run tw in windows98 compatibility mode, it works perfect, but cannot find any server and contact master servers. Also, when i run it without compatibility mod it works perfect on the "Settings" tab. But when i click on of the "Internet", "Favourites" or "Lan" increddible lags start to annoy me
I'm running original Microsoft licensed final version of 7 Professional, build 7600, 64 bit, it works perfect with Ati drivers and LAN drivers.
i used win 7 since first beta and teeworlds worked great on all versions xD
now with the final version it works great too 
When i get my new computer, it will have Windows 7. I hope it works on it 
hmm i got tw running on:
build 7000 worked
build 7100/RC1 worked better as on xp
(I get Win 7 Ultimate 64bit on 22.10.. so ill try it there too

i have win7 ultimate 32 bit it dont work. the compatibility mode dontt work because its zip and need the over things in the zip archive .
Exctract the archive before playing. Don't know how this is handled in Win7 though, I still have XP.
i did it and compatibility dont work why compatibility means 1 programm:teewrlds.exe and teeworlds exe need the things in the data folder
Works great on final Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit .... i changed nothing.. no compatibility mod.. nochting .. .. just downloaded and started
What graphics driver do you have?
If you don't know how to see that, press start--> search "dxdiag". Then on dxdiag click on the display tab.
Search up that driver on google. On the list of results, only click on the one with your manufacturer of drivers' name. (For example if you have an Intel 555Blahblahblah driver, only click on the ones from the Intel website.)
Your driver will appear on the website. If it says "download driver", download it. If it doesnt, then search up that driver on the website, and it will turn out.
Most drivers haven't been upgraded into windows 7 drivers, but that's just fine. Even if it says "for windows XP", download it. REMEMBER WHERE YOU DOWNLOAD IT, because if you don't your dead.
Press Start--> Search "Device Manager", and open it up.
Click on the "display adapters" catagory.
Then Click on the "action" tab, and click on Add legacy hardware.
Click on "manually add..."
Then it shows all your devices. Click on display adapters, as that is your graphics chip.
You should see a list of drivers. Don't click on any of them. Click on "have disk"
It should open up your broswing directories (docs, C: drives, etc).
Find where you saved your download of driver.
Click on the graphics folder, then once you enter there you should see another folder, and an icon that looks like a piece of notepad with a gear on it. Click on that, then press ok, yada yada, it'll install. Your system will restart, and it should be better, lag and all.
If something's still wrong, than... oh well:)
I had Win7 Ultimate 32-bit. I had downloadet it and tried to start it.ok when i starting its had NO problem, but it have a megalaggggggggggg.
