Topic: [HELP] Server Crasher

Hi,
i don't know where i can post it so i think here is right because i need help.

Last monday entered a guy on my clans 24/7 srv with the name "[bot] Don't Play Pirates" 3 seconds later the server was down. then i search for a other server where my favurite map hostet (pirates the old version of it) and join it. 2min and, i think it was the same  guy, a "[bot] Crasher" entered and then 3seconds later the same: server down. I want to search for the next server but then i see that no servers with the pirates map where hosted just pirates2,pirates+,waterpirates and the server with pw.

Hm when i told this story ingame i got told that it was not the first pirates srv crash.

maybe there is a hole in the teeworlds and i hope it get fixed in 6.0, and if one can tell me a free program to defend my 24/7 server.

p.s.:hm yes i know my english is not the godlike one...

ye that was crazy, everytime he joined, the server crashes. But not only our German Clanservers also the Russian

but how he made that yikes just with joining yikes

Just write down the IP of the player and the date when it happened (don't forget to provide the timezone)

There was a DDOS attack against my RootServer which came from a customer of the German Telecom (T-Com) .
I reported this wannabe haXx0R by calling the Network-management-center of T-Com by phone.

Many ISPs have an abuse-mail-address, a phone-number or a simple web-form.

It's not DDoS. It's a person I won't tell the name of who use the send_to-error to crash the server. Matricks will fix this. smile

I haven't said that this prob has something to do with DDoS. I just told what I have done after beeing attacked smile

Thanks for the link. I will extend the teeworlds src so that the server insta-bans people who use this feature to crash server tongue

Btw, What about 0.5.2 or 0.6.0 ?
It seems that the development is stopped or paused...

it looks like matricks is currently developing bam wink

Matricks are little tired of Teeworlds atm. It's more work than fun in the project. But he said he will probely release a new version this year. ;D

More and more patches have been submitted through the newsletter, so the 0.5.2 is going on.
